Play Everyday

Hello Friends!

I have a fun multi media piece to show you.

This was seriously fun to make.  LOL.  I have these chipboard pieces from Tattered Angels (they are old). The are 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide.  I have four or five of them.  They are embossed differently.  I took this picture before I sprayed them all with distress inks lol.

I used a stencil (I think Dylusionals) and modeling paste and then I sprayed more distress oxides.

When the background was good I added these Finnabair mold pieces.  I made them with paper clay.  I "painted" them with various Finnabair waxes.  The play ticket and everyday are both Tim Holtz. And I used peacock feathers to distress the ticket along with old white matte wax from Finnabair.  I also added a bead and put wax on it to represent sea glass.

I used the black matte wax to go around the edges.

This bird is a mod podge mold.  I painted it with the green opal magic paint.

Fabulous Little Canvas

Hello Friends!

I made this cool little canvas.

It's a 3 X 3 canvas.  I love these small little canvases.  Less pressure LOL
Here's a list of what I used:
Metallic grape and light purple gelatos.  Then I used a paintbrush and water to even them out.
Simon Says Stencil-Hey Love with a baby wipe over the canvas and removed the gelato.
Finnabair mold with paper clay.  Painted her with sparks Iris Potion. But she was too bright-so I toned her down with Finnabair old white matte wax.
Tim Holtz-snarky small talk.

Here's the before on the face.  I love iris potion.  It's so shiny LOL.  But too shiny.  The wax really helped to tone it down for this project.

Our Fun Adventure Layout

Hello Friends!

I am so excited about this layout!

I used 100% Kellybell Designs.  They are digital but I printed out the elements and put together this layout.  The giraffe, flowers, buttons, paper and the cool animal paper ribbon.

I have a few of her digis but haven't had the time to sit down and go through them.  And now I have a little bit more time LOL.  I love the images.  This is Wild Kingdom and there are different parts like the alphas and papers and then there is a part with the go wild. And there are even cards for pocket scrapbooking.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends-stay healthy! :)

Happy Easter!

Hello Friends!

Happy Easter!  He IS Risen!  I hope that love and joy are in your hearts today.  Jesus has Risen and is Alive!

Usually I'm at church on Easter Sunday.  This year is different and that is ok.  The quarantine is to be safe.  In my prays-I pray for safety for nurses, doctors, grocery works, drivers, researchers and all those who are on the front line.  I pray for healing for the patients and peace and love for their families.  I pray for strength and for a breakthrough.  I am thankful to God because it is through Him that we are able to work through this. Amen

I finished my Lenten journey with 40 cards.  A friend of mine asked if I would help make cards for our church members.  I said sure.  How many do we need?  The hardest part is postage.  She said there would be me, her and two other ladies from church to make cards. We would need to make 39 a piece.  I rounded up :)

25-65/40

This card uses the following: Darice embossing folder (cross), Redeemer embossing folder by Taylored Expressions, Stampin Up Lovely Lilac paper, Recollections white cardstock, vellum.

On the inside I used a Stampabilities sentiment:

Here's my box of 40 :)

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope this day brings you Hope and Peace.

Out of this World

Hello Friends!

24/40 This card is for a friend of mine's son who can't have a birthday party because of the quarantine.  I hope he has a great day despite it being different than what he thought it would be. :)

I made a space background with distress oxides, water and white paint.  The rest are stamps by Lawn Fawn.  I used the out of this world for the sentiment and the aliens, cake, presents, and the ship are from beam me up. The moon is from the Silhouette Design Store and then I used distress oxide over it.

I colored the images with my Prismacolor markers.  I am so thankful that my husband got them for me at Christmas.  I think there are 72 colors.  More than I have ever had before lol.

Thinking of You Card

Hello Friends!

I have card 23/40 today! I used a card from the Amy Butler K&Company card set I have been using-yay!

I used vanilla cardstock from Stampin UP to make the flower on my Silhouette.  It's a Paige Evans cut file that I bought from the Silhouette Store and I just love it.  The sentiment is from a Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.  It's S C Design by Simone Clay.

Miss You Card

Hello Friends!

22/40  I made this card for a friend of mine in town that I usually see at church.  So I made her this card to let her know I was thinking about her.  And then I got to talk to her Saturday-so that was a sweet treat! :)

I think the background is probably a Tim Holtz product.  It has been so long since I made the background that I seriously cannot remember if I used paint or inks.  It's pretty dark so I'm thinking paint.  Then everything else is Tim's--paperdolls, ephemera, the sentiments and definitely some distress oxide ink on the sentiments.

Happy Quarantine O Ween

Hello Friends!

It feels like it has been awhile.  It seems like washing dishes, using dishes to make food, eating, and then starting the cycle over seems to be a bit time consuming.  LOL.  Don't forget putting away dishes!

On March 31st I had a celebration called Quarantine O'ween.  I had seen a meme on Facebook and thought it was hilarious.  I made cupcakes that my family enjoyed and it gave us something to look forward to.  Quarantine O ween was on a Tuesday.  On the Sunday before I had the idea to make cards and send them to some friends and family.  I made 16 cards.

The germ was cut on my silhouette and the sentiment is from my printer.  I used stickles for that fun glittery effect.  And they backgrounds are different folders I have that I used with black cardstock.  I put the name company of the embossing folder under each card.

Simple Thanks Card

Hello Friends,

I have a simple Thank You card to share with you this evening.  It's from the Amy Butler collection from K & Company.  This is card 5/40.

The card base and paper are from K & Company.  I used Simon Says Stamp die for the sentiment and some scraps.  And Studio Katia icy sparkle crystals (these are so fun!).

So here is a total side thing.  The pack of base cards has 24 cards in it.  I bought this pack and a matching paper mat set a looooonnnngggg time ago.  And I am challenging myself to use this all up!

But the funny thing is that 2 of the bases are missing because I used them (Yay!).  You can see them here.  They are part of a Leap Blog so they are Leap 5 and Leap 31.  That's not what's funny though.  LOL.  The date is what is funny.  I made those cards in March of 2012.  Yeah like 8 years ago.  So who knows when I bought these-maybe 2011?  Maybe earlier.  So there is no doubt that it is time for them to be made into cards and sent to new homes.  :)

Rainbow Card Challenge April Edition

Hello Friends!

It's April 1st!  Which is exciting because it means we have a new challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge!  This month we are all about Tiffany!

Image may contain: text

Here is my card:

I took a multi media approach to my card.  Here's the breakdown:

butterfly and Eiffel tower are made with paper clay and molds (mod podge and Finnabair).
Watercolor paper with gesso.  Then I added crackle paste.  Old paper flowers that I glued around the Eiffel tower and also gesso.  I used Americana acrylic paint-Bahama Blue and watered it down.  Once dried I used old silver Finnabair paste to highlight over the butterfly, Eiffel Tower and flower and pearl centers.  I cut the thanks from my silhouette machine and painted the thanks.  I used silver wax on the outside of the thanks background.

This is such a pretty color and great for spring and Easter-so I am excited to see what you create!

Make sure you check out the other ladies cards-lots of inspiration awaits! :)
