Me and You at Disney World

Hello Everybody!

Happy Friday!  I love Disney!  Everytime I go it really is like magic!  Leave your worries behind!

A few days ago I went to Joanne's and they had Disney paper on sale!  So I had to get it!  This is what caught my eye:

I have seen this in Paper Wishes.  There are brads and 2 Brad Buddies that come with these papers.  Also, there are some die cuts inside.  I am an instant gratification person though.  I like stuff now-which is why just look at it in the magazine.  But when I saw it-I had to get my hot little hands on it! ;)  This paper kit (that's what I will call it) is from Hot off the Press.

So here is my first layout with my new papers.  I used the sketch 11-7-12 at Let's Scrap.  I am also entering this into the Shopping Our Stash Challenge #76: Best Deal Ever or I Had to Buy It, It was on Sale!  I bought some chipboard pieces and Mickey Mouse stamps (eek! can't wait to use those) along with this Disney paper kit. :)

Tidbit Tuesday

Hello Everybody!

Sorry this is a little late.  Sometimes I have all of these ideas to write up for Tuesday-then Monday night comes and all of my ideas are hiding ;)  So today I had to run some errands and stopped off at Michaels.

Woo Hoo!  So glad that I did.  They were having a sale (and still are until the end of the week I'm sure) on Tim Holtz stuff-30% off.  No, I didn't go crazy.  They had Distress crackle paint--one in the pack being rock candy-or clear I think.  And then I got the word stickers.  Could I have bought more?  Yes but I did just buy a whole bunch of stuff a couple of weekends so I need to behave a little bit.  Plus there is that thing where you have to have money to eat.  ;)

I also bought these fabulous moustache stickers.

Inside the Scrapbook Expo

Hello Everybody!

I had so much fun at the Expo on Saturday.  They didn't have as much Tim Hotlz stuff as the did last year--but that didn't stop me from spending all of my money!  I got a lot of new stuff and have been trying to play with it all!

I took 2 classes.  One was a resist class.  I am sure ya'll we be seeing these techniques in some future projects!

One of my favorite stamp companies-Sparkle N Sprinkle-were there.  I could look at there samples all day long!  I bought 2 stamp sets and have already used one! :)

This was from Melissa Francis.  She had some very pretty shabby shic stuff going on.  I bought the inside frame and was inspired by this project.  Can't wait to see what I make!

I bought the kit to make these dome cards with 3-D shiny flowers.  Too cool!  I also bought a set of 3 butterfly dies so I can't wait to share those with you too!

 I saw and got these at the Rubbercafe booth.  They are paper but look like brads.  Brilliant!  I can't wait to use these!

Free tote bag at the Tall Mouse booth with a $20 purchase.  Done when I saw the charms, rhinestone ribbon, and textured backgrounds pieces.  What's rhinestone ribbon...go to the website.  I will talk feature it once I can make a project with it-LOL and I don't know how long that will take!

Here's some of my stuff taken out of the bags.  I got some bling for 99 cents-awesome!  I didn't buy any paper except for a paper pack of Making Memories that was $1.  I tried not to load up on paper because I do have a lot, and I succeeded! Tidbit Tuesday--Shopping!

Hello Everybody!

So I got a Michaels gift card for my birthday!  Yay!  And I spent all of it (boo!).  Here are some of my new goodies that I got.  If you haven't been to Michaels--their coupon policy has changed.  I had a 40%, 20%, and a 20% off Martha Stewart and each one had coupon transaction had to be done separately.  The Martha Stewart which is supposed to be a bonus coupon--Store manager said no "stacking."  I don't have 20 Gatorades people!  But the cashier was very cool and rang each deal separately.

So here's what I bought:

I got red line tape-a little wider than what I have already.  Baker's twine which is in the magazines here recently.  Recollections has these little plastic embellishments, so many to choose from, I got trick or treat ones.  Martha Stewart Halloween keys (she does the twine also).  Blackboard paper--I'm sure the name says everything, but could not resist!  3 little jars that were on clearance that have little shiny stars, and little beads in them.  Lastly, Perfect Pearls-my mom-in-law has a different color and once I used them I had to have some myself!  They've been around for awhile, I don't know why it took either of us this long to get them!

Tidbit Tuesday--New Halloween Supplies

Hello Everybody!

I have been very good about not buying any new stuff---but yesterday that changed!  I went to Target, and they had Halloween scrapbooking stuff in their $1 bins at the front of the store.  SHRIEK!  They have paper, stickers, foamies, and stamps.  Go now!

I got 3 packets of different paper, 2 have 12 sheets, and 1 packets has 8 sheets.  That is still less than 10 cents a sheet!  Awesome.  The stickers were $2--I splurged!  So my whole "kit" cost $6. Shh...don't tell my husband ;)

Tidbit Tuesday--Memory Thread

Hello Everybody!

I was shopping at Joann's over the weekend and came across Memory Thread.  I had seen it in the Paper Wishes catalog and no where else.  Partly, the Memory Thread is located in the embroidery section of the store, and I usually head straight for the scrapbooking section!

You can coil it around a pencil.  I just made a few coils around my finger just to see how it would respond.  So far it stays pretty good.  Seems like it would be fun to decorate pumpkins with it (since I bought green). 

In the Paper Wishes catalog they used it around Christmas ornaments, so that seems like a fun idea as well.  Leave a comment and tell me what other ideas you have for this!  (Even if it's in a different color!)  Until next time my friends!

Hello Everybody!

At Christmas my awesome mom-in-law gave me a gift card to Paper Wishes, an online scrapbooking store.  I know--what took me until August to spend it?  I wanted to make sure I got some awesome stuff.  So here is a quick snapshot of what I got.
