Wedding Card

 Hello Everybody!

One of the fun things about making cards is how we can make them custom for the recipient.  This is one of those cards.  It's not a traditional wedding card with a groom and bride-but that's ok it doesn't need to be.

For this wedding card I used a heart stencil from Simon Says Stamp and shimmer paste from TCW.  The sentiments are words from a Tim Holtz word stickers pack and the flowers are from Hobby Lobby.

Here's another view of the card.  I love this paste.

Thank you for stopping by! :)

House of Cards August Challenge

Hello Everybody!

New month-new challenge at the House of Cards!  This month you can use this lovely color palette or use twine or do both.  I chose twine.  :)

Use Twine and/or Colors

Some friends of ours were married a few weeks ago.  Etiquette says I have 6 months to get them a present.  Whew!  So here is their card:

I am super happy with how this turned out.  The heart stamp is from Great Impressions and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.  I used platinum embossing powder from Ranger on the hearts and Pixie Pink ink from Stampin Up for the sentiment.  My sentiment was a little off so I placed the key to kind of making it look more centered. ;)  Shhhh don't tell!

And then there is the pink twine.  To make this white cardstock panel work, I used pop dots.

I hope you will join our fun challenge.  :)

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Until next time my friends...have a great twine (lol) ;)

Here Comes the Bride-Congrats Card

Hello Everybody,

I made this card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #22.  Here's the sketch...

Here's my card...A friend of mine just got engaged.  So I have had wedding on my mind.

Here's the close up of the bride.  The stamp is from G Studio and she's embossed with Stampendous silver embossing powder.  I was quite happy when I found that in my stash.  I was looking for pink--and then saw this color.  Yay! :)

Here's a close up of the center.  The stripes and flowers are from the same sheet of scrapbook paper by American Crafts.  Then the grey and white are from Recollections cardstock paper.  The sentiment is from Creating Keepsakes (a freebie they sent a little while back).

Here's my card again.  Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a good night! :)
