Hello Everybody!
I knew this morning when I had a little time that I was going to work on my scrapbook page for Another Freakin' Scrappy Challenge. The challenge is to talk about New Year's Resolutions for this year or of year's past.
So before I got started I skimmed through the updated blog list and stopped at Yvonne's Do More With Less. She had spray painted her background, and I loved it. But I more than loved it-I had to get out my stencils and spray something!
So here is my scrapbook page using a green Mr. Mister and brown Dylusions and a Crafter's Workshop Tree of Life Stencil.
So I had so much fun making this page. One of the challenge's DT's had taken a picture of their shoes-and I thought that was a great idea too so I had to scraplift it! The sun is an embossed circle that I had colored with various color of distress inks and the I used a gear from Tim Holtz. It's on yellow cardstock but I used this embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Guilded Ivory. It's white with gold glitter. So the gear has little bits of yellow peaking out-I think this may be my new favorite embossing powder!
Oh! And peaking out behind the shoes picture is a scale (stamp) from The Alley Way Stamps and there is also a measuring tape. I just had to use those! LOL :) The Eat Your Veggies is an ATC I made a couple of weeks ago.
I wanted to share this with you too. I had sprayed the stencil (right). Then I took a piece of white cardstock and layed it over the stencil because the negative had mist on it. So I gently rubbed it and used a brayer. On the right side is how the ink transferred over. And then there is a 2nd edition at the top of the original sprayed stencil. Pretty cool! I can't wait precious mist! :)
Thank you for stopping by today! Until next time my friends...have fun misting backgrounds! :)

Thank you!
Hello Everybody!
Are you ready for this week's challenge at For Fun Challenges? I am! January is Thank You month and this week's challenge is to make a Thank You card. I can't wait to see what ya'll make (I always need ideas!).
Here is my Thank You Card:
I am linking this card up to the sketch challenge at Sparkle N Sprinkle. Starting this year you can use different manufacturers stamps-not just Sparkle N Sprinkle's. But I would feel like I was cheating on them if I didn't use any SNS stamps so the tree is theirs. Plus I won the stamp set that this tree came from and couldn't wait to use it! The thank you's are from Fiskars.

A Valentine's Day Card
Hello Everybody!
Tonight I made a card using the sketch at Inspirational Challenge #4. Since it's a Valentine's Day Card, I am linking it to ABC Challenges-ABC14-Valentine's Day Cards.
I used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug for the background. The circle is a lace doily and the hearts are glossy Ranger paper that I put red, cranberry, and white alcohol ink on and then I embossed one heart. The banner is from a Tim Holtz die and the little envelope is K&Company.
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time my friends...good night! :)

Florida Scrapbook Pages
Hello Everybody!
I just finished 2 scrapbook pages-yay! They are for this week's challenge at Let's Scrap.
This was such a fun sketch! My title is from Karen Foster and I used a shaker sunshine that I have literally had forever-it is from Deluxe Designs. I used some rub-ons from Art Warehouse and the circles with the words are from Die-Versions die cuts.
Here is the sketch by Judy Rakes:
I altered the grid on the second page by omitting a row. I didn't mean too but when I was arranging my elements I ran out of room.
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time my friends...make sure you use your sunscreen! :)

Robot Valentine
Hello Everybody!
Today I finished a card for the Be Inspired Challenge#20 at The Alley Way Stamps. This is the picture of inspiration:
Here is my card using the Lighter than Air set. I stamped the robot on a dictionary page and used black embossing powder. Then I colored her with blush and red prawn Copic Markers. I colored her hands and feet with a silver marker, and I gave her eye lashes and an antennae bow (hehe). I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder for the pink strip and a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the white square.
Here's a close up. I added glossy accents and a light pink glitter to the white square. There's still time to play and they have freebie digi stamps here. :)
Until next time my friends, have a great day! :)

What am I Known For?
Hello Everybody!
Over at Simon Says Stamp and Show the challenge is "What are you known for?" This is a really great question, right? So there are 2 sides of this-my side, like what I think I am (or should be known for LOL) and then there is the perception of everybody else. So I conducted a study :) I asked my friends on Facebook what they thought I was known for. I got some great answers back like: always smiling, honest, fun to be with, hilarious, my laugh (which I tried to change one time but was unsuccessful), and positive. Yeah! I was super impressed. No one tried to be funny or smart alecky either!
So using my friends words I made this mixed media "canvas."
So the inspiration for doing this embroidery hoop canvas came from YouTube. I was searching for a different technique and ran across this video. She uses canvas, and I didn't have canvas but I had muslin. So that is, what I used for the base and I covered it in gesso. Side note-put a plastic bag or something under your material. Thankfully I was using my craft mat but if I wasn't-yikes!
I am also linking up to the Lessology Challenge-You are My Sweetheart-using Hearts and my upcycled item is my embroidery hoop.
Here is a picture of the main materials I used to create the background.
Close to My Heart makes a base paint that is pearl. They make it so that you can add their re-inkers to it and create matching paint colors to their stamp pads. So I used a yellow with it and painted the embroidery hoop. The color on the hoop is this shimmery yellow goldish color. I had a little extra so I put in on the gesso.
Then I used some Faber-Castell Gelatos-green. I added water to it and used it like paint. Then I took regular white acrylic paint and added Lawn Distress Re-Inker (like a drop or 2 it's very concentrated) and a couple of drops of yellow CTMH re-inker. It came out fabulous! I used bubble wrap and made spots and used foam letters (old and never been used before!) to spell out some of the words. I used a rub-on for "sweet" from Prima.
I used a page from the dictionary for positive. With my green and yellow paint I added the gel medium. This allowed the paint to become translucent. How cool is that! So you can read the words because of the gel medium-awesome!!
This is fabric that I ironed Pellon to (a fabric stiffener) and then colored with worn lipstick Distress Stain. I painted the chipboard pieces pink and then painted Rock Candy Crackle over them.
Here's a close up of the top. These are chipboard hearts that I covered with musical scrapbook paper and distressed with barn red. The scissors are on there because my friend Mynnette said I must have them-and she is right! I used pop dots on the big heart so the scissors would hang properly.
The center of the happy flowers are those little letter beads that kids would make bracelets with. I got those at a garage sale-score! ;)
This is a recent picture of me-I got a hair cut-Yay! :) I love this light bulb (TH). I dyed it with yellow alcohol ink and added yellow stickles. I added the crown because my friend Melissa said I was the Queen of Scrapbooking-LOL :) I don't know if I am-I don't have my own paper line yet but I am definitely a Princess! LOL ;) That's a Tim Holtz crown that I used alcohol inks-white picket fence and red to make pink. That beautiful flower is a Prima flower.
I hope you like my mixed media canvas and learning a little bit more about me! :) Until next time my friends...have a great weekend!

Australia Day
Hello Everybody!
This week at For Fun Challenges we are celebrating our friends Down Under! Sunday January 26th is Australia Day so this week's challenge is to use koala bears, kiwi, kangaroos or something else that is Australian.
I made a card using a koala bear. I used the Zooballo cartridge for the Cricut to cut out the square with the koala bear. I used mulberry paper to go behind the square and used a white frost Cat's Eye to brighten the frame. The letters are cork squares that came with the letters printed on them, but I don't know where they came from (maybe the $1 store). I brushed green Cat's Eye over the leaves on the tree.
I can't wait to see what you make for Australia Day! Until next time my friends...Watch out for the Mozzies (mosquitos) Mates! :)

Hello Card
Hello Everybody!
I made a card for Challenge #3 at the Inkspirational Challenge. I used a frame and sentiment from my new The Alley Way stamp set. I won the set from commenting on a post! Yippee! The rest of the card is card stock, an embossing folder, corner punch and pop dots.
Here is a side view of my card. It shows the raised layer a little bit better. (Don't you love that frame?)
This was a CASE challenge. Here is what we CASED:
Thank you for stopping by! It's time for bed for me! :) Until next time my friends....sleep tight! :)

A January Layout
Hello Everybody!
There's a new challenge at For Fun Challenges-and it's so fun! It's January-carnations, garnets, Capricorns, and I don't even know what else! ;)
So for my project I made a scrapbook page using pink carnation paper and red bling to represent garnets. This page was so much for to create. This is the first picture of my husband and I on January 1, 2012. Fun! So I used a stamped clock from Tim Holtz and a little clock that my MIL gave me for Christmas.
I am entering this into the Scrap It Girl Challenge: Bling, Glitter, Shine and Sparkles for my bling corners and "garnets." :)
Other Supplies:
Kaiser Bling
Basic Grey Butterfly
Cosmo Cricket letters
Echo Park Numbers
K & Company Love Epoxy sticker
Tim Holtz Gears and game spinner
Webster pages fabric ribbon
Paper-Black Cardstock, DCWV (?) Carnation paper, DCWV and Echo Park Journal squares, Tim Holtz tissue paper
Key
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time my friends...think January!

Eat Your Veggies
Hello Everybody!
Tonight I have a super cute thing to show you! The Craft Barn is doing a challenge where you take a dictionary and make altered pages using the letter that they give you. The letters aren't in order-which I think is totally fun! Now I can't alter my Dictionary for a couple of reasons. 1. I use the pages from it for other projects. 2. I don't think I am ready for altered books. Sure I talk about doing it, but right now I am just talking a good game ;)
So as an alternative they suggested ATC's. Say no more! Sign me up! So here is my ATC using this challenge's letter-V.
The letter stickers are Glitz. The corn is from the "My World" Cricut Cartridge and I used Stickles to make it sparkly. And those little vegetable stickers are from some little sheet of sticker randomness were floating around. :)
If you like to make ATC's, Roni at Ink Stains is doing an ATC swap and charm swap. I am signed up for the ATC's so I am happy that I am now one card closer!
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time my friends...eat those veggies! :)

Tidbit Tuesday-My Melting Pot
Hello Everybody!
If you have been a long time follower or if you have just started in the last couple of weeks, you may know that I usually do a little Tuesday Tidbit on well Tuesdays. I started my Tuesday Tidbit in the beginning because I wasn't sure how this whole blog thing worked and wanted to make sure I updated it. Little did I know I would not have a problem doing that since I am so crazily addicted to challenges!
So due to there only being 24 hours in a day and my love to craft I have decided that this will be my last little Tidbit Tuesday. So here it is:
Today is about my Melting Pot. I got this for Christmas from my awesome Husband. :) He heard me talking about how Tim Holtz made these paper flowers into what looked like porcelain flowers. And he stored that info until Christmas. It's been since May so that's a good memory!
So in the melting pot is UTEE which is Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. Now you are supposed to be able to melt other things in this little pot but I haven't gotten that far yet.
So on the idea of the flowers, I have these flowers that I took off of the stems.
Here they are cooling off on the Ranger mat. They look like glass! I love them!
Now this is cool. The stamped image is on a piece of shrink paper. They make clear and white. The only one I had was for the computer so it's white. Here the balloons are the same size.
Now the stamped one is a little tile! The ink blurred a little bit-but that's ok because some of more projects use more of an old distressed look. I'll know next time to let it dry a bit more before I dip it.
Here's another picture of all of the flowers I made. Some of the bigger flowers are a challenge because they fold on themselves. But (there's always a but) if you don't like it-put the flower back in. The UTEE will remelt and you can redo trying to get the flower out of the pot (which can be a challenge. Tim had it right-his flowers have stems!) ;) The white things are pieces of shrink paper that I shrunk. The UTEE can be "painted" with alcohol inks too. That's my next step!

Little Valentine Card
Hello Everybody!
Tonight I made a Valentine's Day card for the challenge at Retro Sketches Challenge #45:
I am also linking up to 52 Card Pick Up 2.2. Thank you Patrice!
Here's a closeup of the focal point. I used a Cuttlebug Valentine folder for the background and Swiss Dots for the pink strips. I had a scrap of the hearts that I cut with a Spellbinders square (I love these things!). And the 2 hearts are Maya road. The red one is painted with a red crackle paint. The pink one is painted with pink acrylic paint and once that dried I put Rock Candy crackle paint on it. I really like how the pink one turned out!
I got the idea for the hearts from Jen Mitchell who is the January headliner at Retro Sketches. I thought that's so cute! The other DTs samples are great too! Go check 'em out! :)
Until next time my friends...It's Friday! :)

Bird's the Word
Hello Everybody!
There's a new challenge at For Fun Challenges! National Bird Day was Saturday-so in honor of that we must use a bird on our projects. If you have more than one bird that is ok too! ;) You can use eagles, flamingos, song birds, parrots, and I could go on! I chose this little bird from the Girl's Paperie for my card. The sentiment is from Mynnette Kitchen-I won it! Yay! :) Scroll on down, and I will share some more details!

I am also submitting this card into the following challenge:
The flowers and pearls are from Recollections. There is a doily behind the pink circle (Core'dination Paper, Spellbinders circle) and a strip of tissue tape from Tim Holtz.
Oh! And the sentiment is a digi stamp so I printed it on glossy paper (along with some photos I was printing) and then I used Aqua Alcohol Ink around the edge of it.
I can't wait to see what ya'll create! Thank you to everybody that played last week! Until next time my friends....Bird's the Word (hehe).

Tidbit Tuesday-Christmas Cards
Hello Everybody,
So it is time again to take the Christmas cards down that people sent to me. In my heart I want to scrap the ones with the kids on them and save the printed ones for other projects-to give them new life.
However, they must get put away. Until last year I used to just put them in a memory box (ticket stubs, programs, etc). Then I realized I could put them into a Ziploc bag and date the bag. So here is this years Bag O' Christmas Cards all neat and tidy. And now it can go into the memory box!
Do you save your Christmas cards? And the better question is-do you use them or scrap them?
Until next time my friends...Happy Tuesday!
Also, I want to thank you for being a Cut and Paste Pal! I appreciate you comments and stopping by!

Plastic Bag Ribbon
Hello Everybody!
There is a challenge going on for another day or so at Cut It Up challenge. It's challenge #9 Out with the old. The challenge is to make a project using something from the house that you would not normally use in papercrafting. Is that a recycle challenge? Count me in!
**This card made the Top 3 Cut at Cut It Up! Thank you! :)
I am also linking up to the Catch the Bug Challenge: Anything Goes!
Now at Cut it Up you do have to-it's a must-use one thing-everybody has to use a die cut. Which is a good thing because this means I get to use my Cricut. So enough chit chat...here's my card:
The Earth is from the Travel cartridge from Cricut. The ribbon is made from this plastic bag, an item not usually used in papercrafts. I have been saving it because it's pink. So I cut two strips and tied them together with a knot. I wrapped it around the card and the two free ends made the bow.

Dark Pink, Black, and Kiwi
Hello Everybody!
There's a new challenge blog in town! It's called Inkspirational and this week's challenge is a color challenge using dark pink, black, and kiwi green. You can get all of the details for the first challenge here.
But in order to make my card work, I went over to see this weeks sketch at Retro Sketches: #44:
I think the paper is My Mind's Eye. Except for the black card stock. It's Recollections and it's embossed with polka dots. The flower is from Making Memories. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday-Ali Edwards. I got it for Christmas and this is my first time using it. I have a wish list at Simon Says Stamp and my sister got this stamp from Simon Says using my wish list plus a few other goodies. :) Thanks Georgia! :)
Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time Happy Friday! :)

1st Tag of the Year!
Hello Everybody!
I am super excited to show you this tag I made for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2013. You can go here to see the original inspiration and how to make the tag.
So here's my version of the tag. I kept to the original Tim tag except for a few things. I don't have the film strip that he used so I stamped the film strip (from one of his stamp sets) onto a transparency and cut it out. I am so going to do that again. That was the first time I used that stamp-LOL! My hand stamp is from Prima-I just got! I used a different saying (Still T.H. stamp). Oh and I used a different embossing folder for the background.
Here's a close up. I made my gears differently too. I put Martha Stewart white texture effect on them and then I painted it with gold dauber and silver and copper stain. I also used a little black paint so they wouldn't be quite so bright and shiny ;)
I used a Making Memories clip since that is all I had. But orange sherbert doesn't go with my tag so...
I got out the gold and silver alcohol inks...Ah yeah!
I also don't have the ribbon that Tim used. But I have white seam binding like from the sewing section. A friend of mine gifted me a lot of binding and ric rac so I am super happy that this worked. I stamped it with a stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle. The first set of music notes fit perfectly! I heat set it and then I added sage and marmalade stain. Scroll back up to the top and see it again-it's beautiful! I think so anyways, and I am very happy at how this tag turned out.
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time my friends...don't be afraid of trying new techniques!

For Fun-Something New!
Hello Everybody!
It's time for a new challenge at For Fun Challenges! Since it's a New Year this week's theme is something new-like a new baby, new house, new scrapbook supplies! I got a lot of fun goodies for Christmas, and I can't wait to use them all!
Make sure to go by For Fun to see what Helen and Kathy created!
So the telephone stamp (Recollections), the sentiment (Technique Tuesday stamp) and the technique used on the flowers are all new.
I am linking up to Unscripted Sketches #191. Here is this week's sketch:

Here is a close up of my flowers. They are those little fabric flowers that people seem to buy for wedding things. My husband bought me a melting pot for Christmas. I used the Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) and dipped the flowers in it. I saw Tim Holtz do it on one of his videos and thought it was one of the coolest things ever. I still do-LOL! Not bad for my 1st 3 flowers. There will be more!

Happy 2013-Tidbit Tuesday
Hello Everybody!
Happy New Year!
Have you reflected on 2012? Have you made your New Year resolutions? I haven't really looked back on 2012. I haven't had time! LOL! But I have been thinking about resolutions for the new year.
Goal for 2012-100 scrapbook pages Actual-68 pages! That's AWESOME! I didn't make my goal but I scrapped more scrapbook pages than I ever have in a year! So for 2013 I am setting the same goal 100 pages.
I made about 201 cards without really having any goals in mind so that's pretty cool too. So what to do for 2013? Here it goes!
100 Scrapbook Pages
200 Cards
5 Mixed Media Projects
20 ATC's
10 Tags
So here are my creative goals for 2013. Can't wait to get started! :) Until next time my friends...Have a great New Year! See you soon! :)
