Happy Halloween Card

 Hello Friends!

I was inspired by two challenges to make this card. The first is The Funkie Junkie Challenge: Stamped with Love using Tim Holtz stamps. The second is make your own background by Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Here's my card:

Here's a close up of most of the detail.

The background is CMS414 Tapestry-I used villianous potion embossing glaze and distress ink.

The skeleton is from CMS437 Halloween Doodles.

CMS237 Crazy Things-Balloons (which I masked to get them together), hat, bow tie (colored with villianous potion embossing glaze), and pumpkin trick or treat container. I used copics and prismacolor markers for these things.

CMS236 Crazy Talk is the sentiment (and my favorite sentiment stamp of all time.)

Some twine and pop dots were used for the balloons.

I am probably going to make this background again. There is something about the shine of the glaze that is just so pretty. :)

Thank you for stopping by! :)

Viking Happy Birthday

 Hello Friends!

This is a Happy Birthday Card I made for my dad. I love this little Viking Guy and it has taken me a few tries to color him and be happy with it.

I used a gelli plate and a page from a book for the background. I also used a little walnut distress ink around the edges. I used prisma color markers to color the image. The Viking is from My Favorite Things Stamps. The happy is a Tim Holtz die. And the sentiment under it is a Taylored Expressions stamp and die cut.

I stamped on the inside-which I don't often do but how could I not--this clever little sentiment had to go somewhere! :)

March Challenge at the Rainbow Card Challenge!

 Hello Everybody!

New month new challenge! This month we are all about Jade at the Rainbow Card Challenge!

This is my card.

I made a galaxy background using lucky clover, rustic wilderness, and wilted violet distress oxides.  I watered down some white paint and made the dots in the background. The stamps are from Lawn Fawn-they have 2 space sets and these are from both sets. I used my prismacolor markers to color the aliens and their ships and the planet in the background. The ground is a paper I covered with lucky clover and rustic wilderness distress oxides. And the sequin stars are from Queen and Company.

This mood board is so awesome! I hope you are inspired and play along with us! :)

Owl Valentine

 Hello Friends!

Welcome to Day 8 of my 14 Days of Valentine Craftiness. :)

Here is a Valentine card made from cute owl stamps from Aall & Create. My husband gave me these stamp at Christmas and I thought how cute would they be for Valentine's! :)

I colored the owls with prismacolor markers. And then I fussy cut them out.  I also have this new circle masking stencil from Taylored Expressions. I taped down my paper, the circle masking stencil and then laid a paige evans heart stencil over that. I just wanted to see if it would look good. I used spun sugar distress ink. And ta da! Not too bad!

The heart with the arrow is a Silhouette stamp and cut. And the sentiment is a sticker from Simple Stories.

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Rainbow Card Challenge July!

Hello Friends!

It's time for a new challenge at the Rainbow Card Challenge!  This month we are all about Tangerine!

Here's my card:

I have been watching Tim Holtz, and I believe that influenced this card.  Here is my step by step.

For the background panel I swiped spiced marmalade on this embossing folder.  Now the one pictured below must have slide because toward the bottom it's all weird.  So I did it again.  :) And I love this technique because it looks like it was printed on there in some fancy way.

Here is a picture of the one I used on the card.  The raised areas stayed white.

For the butterfly I used spiced marmalade and rusty hinge distress crayons and moved the color with water.  First I painted gesso on the cardstock.  When it was dry, I used a Tim H. butterfly die from sizzix and cut it out.

I used a hampton spring on the butterfly so the butterfly could "fly" :)

The sentiment is a gold prisma color marker on paper that I then cut out with a Tim H. die.  Same technique as the butterfly just a different marker tool.  And I cut vellum for the shadow.

I hope you join us this month!  We would love to see your Tangerine cards!

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time friends! :)

Out of this World

Hello Friends!

24/40 This card is for a friend of mine's son who can't have a birthday party because of the quarantine.  I hope he has a great day despite it being different than what he thought it would be. :)

I made a space background with distress oxides, water and white paint.  The rest are stamps by Lawn Fawn.  I used the out of this world for the sentiment and the aliens, cake, presents, and the ship are from beam me up. The moon is from the Silhouette Design Store and then I used distress oxide over it.

I colored the images with my Prismacolor markers.  I am so thankful that my husband got them for me at Christmas.  I think there are 72 colors.  More than I have ever had before lol.

I am submitting this into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends-have a great Saturday!

Angel Birthday Card

Hello Everybody!

One of my favorite stamp sets is an angel set from Jane's Doodles.  They are clean and simple and bring joy.  Here is a birthday card I made for a friend of mine who loves angels.

The background is a stencil from Simon Says Stamp and I used Art Anthology Splashed Sorbet which is a glittery clear dimensional paint.  And along with the Jane's Doodles angel I used Taylored Expressions stamp and die cut (sentiment strips).  I got the stamp and die cut for Christmas and I love them!  I colored this little angel with Prismacolor markers (also a Christmas present so I am feeling very loved and creative right now!).

There are so many great challenges going on right now and I would like to submit this angel card to the following:

Rainbow Challenge: #13 Wonderfully White--Use white (monochromatic) on a card.  Also, a DT call so go check it out!

Watercooler Wednesday- Anything goes with a twist: Feminine

Use Your Stuff: Anything Goes (I have had the stencil for at least 6 months and the art anthology paint for going on 2 years)

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends!
