Fantasy Land Layout

Hello Everybody!

Wow--how did June just whiz by like that?  I mean we have a few days left.... but still!  Summer has been so fun so far with visiting friends, swimming, and going to the library.  And now I found some time to make a scrapbook page-Yay!

There is a great sketch at The Memory Nest that I used for this layout.  It's for the Make It Monday challenge 41.  I used Paper Pizzazz paper and the title, Mickey thumb and date label are die cuts from the paper collection.

I'm so happy-I just recently organized like half of my scrapbook room.  I used a 4-step method by Tiffany from Scraprack.  You don't have to buy anything and the videos are free.  It's been awesome!  Like that yellow tag is a chipboard tag and I probably wouldn't have used it before because I wouldn't have been able to find it--LOL  So if you are struggling with getting your scrappy supplies in order check her out.  :)

So thank you so much for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...It's a small world after all! :)

Brads, Bling, and Buttons-Oh My!

Hello Everybody!

There's a new challenge at Scrap It Girl!  So get out your stash-we want to see Brads, Bling, and Buttons!

Here is what I have created for the challenge:

The gold color behind the picture is Viva Inka-Gold.  The picture is lined with bling that you cut off of the sheets.  The hat is a die cut from my Cricut a long time ago.  And the picture below shows the buttons and brads.

I even got to use a heart tag from my stash that a friend gave me.  Yay! :)

And I must show you the awesome prize:

You can enter 2 times.  You can make a scrapbook page or card or mixed media piece as long as it follows the brads, bling, and buttons challenge.

We can't wait to see what you'll create!

Until next time my friends! :)

House of Cards Blog Hop

Hello Everybody!

Here at House of Cards it's the end of the term.  We are saying a fond farewell to some of our DT members and feel so grateful to those staying on.  To say goodbye and thank you, we're celebrating with a blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Judy's blog.

This hop will run FROM June 1ST AT 6:00 AM CST THROUGH June 15TH AT NOON CST,  ANY CARD STYLE is welcome and we've got a gorgeous photo inspiration for your crafting enjoyment!

Here's our photo inspiration~

I LOVE this photo!  There is so much inspiration here-the colors (which is what I used), the flowers, those square ottomans, leaves, a little yellow, even a W and an H.  And that is what I see just at a glance!  So here is what I created from this picture and our Awesome sponsors:

This is a definition stamp and for me I saw it at the right time.  I have 2 wonderful friends in my life who are going through some tough times.  And this sentiment is perfect for a card for each of my friends.  Here's how I used it.

These swirls are from the Silhouette store.  I used ribbon to outline the sentiment and some bling.  I love pink and green together!

I had to get a little messy.  I used Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, and Mustard Seed Distress Paints for the background.  The leaves are a Tim Holtz die cut and I cut red line paper so I could put a fine glitter on it.  I sponged and sprinkled water on the sentiment itself after I used the raspberry distress ink on it,

In this photo there you can see the sparkle a little better.

The frame inspired this card.  I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder.  For the pink butterfly I used Picked Raspberry distress ink.  I also used it around the base of my card.  The Thank You is from the tags stamp and I used mowed lawn for that.

I always need Thank you cards so this was perfect!

So, are you ready to get hopping?!  Yep, it's time, but first we've got some fabulous sponsors to share with you!  Make sure you leave a comment at each person's blog along the way because the prizes are hidden and we'll be doing random drawings from the blogs where they are hiding! :)  After you're done, make a creation to share with us here, too, for another chance to win!
