Brrrrrr

Hello Everybody!

It's only cold in the AC here!  But I have a little friend who is turning 3 and her favorite movie is Frozen.  So I wanted to make her a special birthday card-and I wasn't sure how I was going to make it without Elsa.

But with the help of the Silhouette online store and my machine, I figured it out!

I got this castle and when you take out the inside cuttings it's just the background so I cut in a light blue the castle with all of the trimmings.  Then I took those out and cut just the solid background.  For the card background I used different blue distress inks.  I also cut the snowflakes from the silhouette machine.  I popped out the castle and added stickles to the outside of it.

I would like to link this up to 2 challenges:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends....the cold never bothered me anyway (Elsa).  Just kidding-I like warmer weather! ;)

What if I Fail?

Oh, But My Darling, What if you fly?--Erin Hanson

Hello Everybody!

Isn't that an awesome quote?  Wouldn't it be great if you could relax in knowing that you could fly?  But alas...it's not that easy.

So tonight's tag has part of this quote on it.  I was going to use a Dylusion quote-but somehow this came to mind.

For this tag I started off gluing a piece of book page to the tag and trimming the extra.  Then I sponged on mustard seed distress ink.  Using a Dylusions stencil, I added crackle texture paste that dries white by Wendi Vecchi.

And wait--haha for the paste to dry. Then...

I add distress paint- walnut stain- with my finger to the tag.  I like the way the yellow peaks out.  You can see the crackle.  Woo Hoo!

Then I made the dress form from a Tim Holtz die.  I used a dot embossing folder and then used D.I. wild honey.  I stapled the tulle skirt on and tied a cord around the waist to hide the staples.  Then I found this gold heart and knew it would be perfect.  This picture also shows the crackle very well.  I added white stain in the background to make the wings and dress form pop.

The wings are Fun Stampers Journey stamped on pattern tissue paper.

These are chitchat stickers from Tim Holtz.

I am linking this tag to the following challenges that help inspire this tag:

Hello World Layout

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited to share with you the newest sketch challenge from Stick It Down and my interpretation of it.

Using mostly Tim Holtz supplies, I created this:

Back in April my husband and I were able to go to Italy.  It was a fabulous trip!  This is one of my favorite pictures of us standing in front of the Coliseum.

Here is this month's sketch.  It's so fun!  We can't wait to see what you create! :)
Until next time my friends...have a beautiful day! :)

Fresh Inspiration

Hello Everybody!

There is a new fresh challenge over at House of Cards.  And there are a few new ladies that have joined us so be sure to check out everybody's creations.

This month you can use the picture or the colors so I used the strawberries.

I used my Silhouette machine to cute the strawberries and Stickles to outline them.  The stamp sentiment was given to me and it says copyright OTC.

Here is a closeup of the strawberries.  I think they look delicious! ;)  LOL

I am linking this up to the Silhouette Challenge: #27 Anything goes.
