A Father's Day Card

Hello Everybody!

It is time for a little mid month inspiration over at Creative with Stamps.

This month's challenge is about making manly cards.  So for this card I got out my Tim Holtz stamps and inks.  The map and airplane are both Tim's.  I used gold embossing powder on blue cardstock for the airplane.  The sentiment is Stampin Up using Ranger ink-Manganese blue.  And the air mail is a stampin up stamp.

Be sure you join us!

I can't believe Father's Day is almost here-and I am so not prepared! Eek!

I am prepared to link this card up to the following challenges:

:)  Thank you for stopping by today!  Until next time my friends...have a great day! :)

Dinosaurs Layout

Hello Everybody!

I am so happy that I have finally completed a 2 page scrapbook layout!  It seems like forever since I have made one.  The inspiration came from Let's Scrap.  Here is their sketch:

Here is my layout:

I didn't do a flaps book-though I love the idea.  I will have to try flaps on a different layout.  The dinosaurs are die cuts from the silhouette machine.  The silhouette also did the title.  As a matter of fact those dinos are the same T-Rex (from the silhouette store).  I flipped the orange one and made him smaller and cut him out of orange paper (to match my son's hat).

There are some rub-ons and Tim Holtz tiny stickers spell out fossils.

This was such a fun layout.  :)  I can't wait to see the next sketch!

Until next time my friends...things in the mirror appear larger than they seem (tell me you know what that's from!) :)

Graduation Card

Hello Everybody!

This evening I have made a graduation card for a sweet friend of mine.  I don't make many of these so it was a little challenging until I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Once I picked out the paper it came together.  It would be nice if all projects came together this easily! :)

The printed paper is from Authentique (Blissful) and the black cardstock was floating around.  The sketch is at the bottom of this post.  The first square on the sketch is the feather on my card.  The feather is from Carta Bella.  When I saw it I new it would go perfect with this line.  The sentiment is Stampin Up and the graduation cap is a stamp from Fun Stamps/Stampendous.  I also added a yellow wallflower from Queen and Co.

I would like to submit this card to the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...Have a happy day! :)

Suitcase Card

Hello Everybody!

There's a new challenge at Creative With Stamps-and it's for Manly Cards!

For my card I used a Dina Wakley stencil on a gessoed book page.  I used fire brick and gathered twigs distress inks for the bricks.   The sentiment shape is a Tim Holtz mover shaker and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.  I inked the edges with graphite black Dew Drop ink.  Also, I  got a new Sizzix die cut from Tim Holtz and that is on the corner behind the suitcase.

The Suitcase!  I love this suitcase!  It's a digi stamp from Stamplorations (one of our sponsors-thank you!).  And I have colored it with Copic markers a green and warm grey.  I had to be careful because I colored the suitcase first and then decided to do brick work and then realized I had green and red.  And it's not a Christmas card!  But I think I was able to make the bricks brown enough.  LOL I hope so anyways!

I really like how this card turned out.  I was going to do a miss you but with all of the graduating seniors-I thought this would be great for a guy who was graduating and leaving-like off to college or the service.

We have two great sponsors this month so be sure to check them out!

Also, are Team has done a great Manly job making cards-so be sure to see them also! :)  When you link up be sure to put our Challenge picture (at the top of this post) on your post!  :)

Until next time my friends...Have a beautiful day! :)
