Grandma's Garden Layout

Hello Friends!

I created the layout using the sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.

I mixed light modeling paste and some Art Anthology gold paint (it had glitter in it too) and used a Crafter's Workshop stencild for the little squares around the picture.  I was so excited to finally used paste-it's been awhile!

Instead of a 2nd pictures I used the bingo card from Simple Stories.  It was part of a 12 by 12 paper so I just cut it out.  For Christmas my husband got me a whole pack of different kinds of washi tape.  That is the orange with flower strip going horitzontally-washi tape.  The letters are a thickers and Basic Grey.

The flowers-let me tell you about those.  I don't know if they are Prima or Target-but I bought them at Target and they came in 3 little glass jars with wooden tops.  This is years ago.  Does anyone still have theirs?  LOL.  For the centers I used white Enamel Accents from Ranger.  I used some paper twine and a tag from K & Company-also a bajillion years old.

Here is the sketch for Week 4 in July:

I am also submitting this to Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge: Use a butterfly (There is a yellow glittery butterfly in the top right corner of the picture.)

Until next time my friends...Have a scrappy weekend! :)

Out and About Layout

Hello Everybody!

There is a wonderful sketch at Let's Scrap.  It inspired me to scrap some picture from our trip to Italy last April.

I cut the doily from the silhouette machine.  And used papers from Echo Park and Making Memories.  The title letters are precut that I bought a long long time ago.  LOL :)  And the Enjoy the Journey is from Making Memories, also.

I had these flowers on my desk-the are from Queen and Co.  I love them!  They call them yellow wallflowers, and I bought them at the Scrapbook Expo.

This was a beautiful marble monument dedicated to Italy's king.  I have part of that in quotes because I used the wording from this website.  And if you would like to know more it's easy to find. :)

Here is the sketch that inspired this layout.  I am always happy when I get pictures scrapped.  There is a meme that says scrapbooking is a party for your pictures--and I think they are right! :)

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...When in Rome.

Road Trip Layout

Hello Everybody!

I saw the sketch at Let's Get Sketchy and knew I wanted to participate! :)

So here is my layout:

We took a recent trip through Jacksonville, FL and these are some pictures on our way home.  I bought a pack of 12X12 paper from the Scrapbook Expo many expos ago-and that is the background here.  I am always happy when I use old scrappy supplies.

I was also happy that I had the right letters to spell out 'road trip.'  It's seems like it gets harder and harder to use up these letter stickers!  These letters are foam and from American Crafts.

The 3 strips on the right are scraps (yay!), and I used a gear embossing folder on them.  The white strip on the side was made using decorative scissors.  (yay!  old supplies!)

I added an additional photo to the sketch.  :)

Here is the original sketch:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a happy day! :)

Washed Ashore Layout

Hello Everybody!

It always makes my heart happy when I can complete a 2 page scrapbook layout AND get it in the challenge before time runs out!  LOL  I am running close today!

I did the sketch at Let's Scrap (which for this sketch time is running out-but the new sketch is up!).

Here is my layout:

Here is the original sketch:

My photos were a bit smaller than I had thought-4 by 5.5 (inches).  Instead of the flowers I did a fish scene.  This exhibit was about a lady along with volunteers gathers trash from the beaches and ocean (Pacific ocean, West Coast) and she creates sculptures with the trash.  Below I put trash in quotations-I was thinking recycled material but initially it isn't.  It's a variety of stuff that gets left in the ocean.

These are the tags that go behind the 3 sculpture pictures.

Here is the title:  Letters from the silhouette machine (bubbly font?) and I glued those letters onto cheese cloth that had been used with blue and green paint on my gelli plate.  I'm glad I stored that little tidbit away.  It made for a great background for the title.  The pink shell is a plastic button glued on.  I used Beacon 3-in-1 to adhere all of this.

For supplies:  Things in my stash:  blue cardstock, polka dot ribbon, white cardstock for letters,
fish: 2 or 3 epherema packs from K & Company, 2 shells stickers from Stickopotamus, journal sticker and pattern paper from Stampin' Up (2007)

Thank you for stopping by today!  Until next time my friends...keep scrappin! :)

Mickey Layout

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited that I completed a scrapbook page!  I even used some new washi tape I bought at the Scrapbook Expo-woot! woot!

I was totally inspired by the layout at Let's Get Sketchy.  Here is my take on the sketch:

I think I was more excited to meet Halloween Mickey than my son...but that's ok!  :)  This was at Mickey's not so Scary Halloween party.  Super fun!

This is a button that I glued here.  I was so happy when I found it in the Disney stuff.  Yay!  For organization! ;)

And here is the sketch.  There is plenty of time to play-so stop on by! :)

The background paper is from Fancy Pants.  The letters in the title are from Making Memories.  G-studio made the gems.  And the pumpkin is colorbok and the tag is from Oriental trading.  Plus I used some scrap paper (woo hoo!) ;)

Until next time my friends....Have a crafty night! :)

Dinosaurs Layout

Hello Everybody!

I am so happy that I have finally completed a 2 page scrapbook layout!  It seems like forever since I have made one.  The inspiration came from Let's Scrap.  Here is their sketch:

Here is my layout:

I didn't do a flaps book-though I love the idea.  I will have to try flaps on a different layout.  The dinosaurs are die cuts from the silhouette machine.  The silhouette also did the title.  As a matter of fact those dinos are the same T-Rex (from the silhouette store).  I flipped the orange one and made him smaller and cut him out of orange paper (to match my son's hat).

There are some rub-ons and Tim Holtz tiny stickers spell out fossils.

This was such a fun layout.  :)  I can't wait to see the next sketch!

Until next time my friends...things in the mirror appear larger than they seem (tell me you know what that's from!) :)
