Bingo Thinking of you...and my 100th post!

Good Evening Everybody!

Wrappin' up the weekend here.  I have been fighting a coughing cold, sleeping, watching football, and managed to make another card.  I say Success!

Wow, this is my 100th post.  I'm am very excited about that!  I hope the next 100 are just as fun if not funner (yup I said it!).

So one of my favorite challenges blogs is coming to an end as far as the challenge part.  It's Wee Memories.  A super talent lady named Jenny Suchin will still have her blog at that same address sharing all of her talent, so please go see!

The last challenge is a sketch.  You can go here and find out all the details because there is still time to play!

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.  Instead of that white piece I used my Bingo stamp from Tim Holtz and then my sentiment represents the small square.  Scroll on down, and I'll show you what I did!

Plain white card...

On the first try I pull this scrap out-perfect!  I just cut it lengthwise to fit.

These scalloped scissors helped me make the scalloped border on the black Bazzill cardstock.

The dark red paper is from 7 Gypsies.

I stamped the Bingo card on a piece of Tim Holtz distress paper that I had gotten at JoAnn's.  The paper is called Bundled Sage.

This swirl is a rub on from Prima Flowers.  I took a class at the Scrapbook Expo last year, and we had goodies left over!

The circle boarder is also from the Prima rub on pack.

This thinking of you stamp is from G studio--I totally love it!  And the paper is white cardstock that was misted with Tattered Angels-sunflower and pumpkin I believe.

And here is my finished card.  I like how it turned out.  It's different than other cards I have been making lately and I like when that happens :)  Until next time my friends...stay creative!

Sweet Baby Frame

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited about this cute project!  I am putting it in 2 challenges.  There's still time so stop by and play!

Lessology #8 Frame of Life: Decorate an old frame or make one out of cardboard...also need an upcycled item.  I used a piece of cardboard.

Wee Memories WMC81--New: New product, new technique, new theme.  I got some new embellishments and this is the first time I made a picture frame out of a piece of cardboard.

Here my frame!  Look at that little handsome on there!  Scroll on down, and I'll show you what I did!

My son got these blocks for Christmas.  When we dumped them out there was a round cardboard piece on the bottom.  Cha Ching!  Quickly,  I stowed this in my scrapbook room.

So I used my Cropadile and made 2 holes for the ribbon that would hold my frame.

I wanted lace.  I go where my creativity takes me, but I wanted to use lace.  So I stapled it on.  The scribbles on the cardboard are saying that the circle is a little over 7 inches.

I traced a piece of white card stock to go over the stapled lace and cardboard.

This is Doodlebugs paper.  I knew I wanted to make a circle from it and use it.

Does anybody have one of these?  Do you use it?  I don't use it often enough.  But today it was a must have.  I made my circle from the paper above :)

New embellies!  I just got them from Marshalls.  Yes that's right.  They were only $2.99.  It's a limited selection but check it out!  Who doesn't need more sequins and gems?

My awesome hubby got me this for Christmas!  I love that I already have a use for 1 of them!

Now the chipboard letters I got from a Tim Holtz class at CKU a few years ago.  I think they are Advantus or Heidi Swapp.  No matter the brand though, sticky chipboard letters do not stay sticky.  Even in a scrapbook they seem to move around.  So since I knew this would be on my wall, I ran them through the Xron machine.  Love my Xron!

Here's a close-up of the gems.  Different shapes and shades of that teal color.  I used Zots and put them along the pattern paper.  Some of the bigger gems are from Kaiser.

Here's a close-up of the Tim Holtz key.

Here's a close-up of the chipboard letters.  That little flower in the middle is from Prima.

Here's my frame hanging on the wall.  I think I want to paint my walls yellow though after seeing my project in front of that yellow paper!

Look how great it looks against the yellow!   Until next time my friends...use some gems! Or rhinestones like I like to call them! ;)

Kraft and Twine Card

Hello Everybody!

I am playing with all of my new fun things that I got at Christmas!  Plus I went to the scrapbook store and couldn't help myself!  But I did exercise some caution so I didn't come back home with way way more stuff--just a litte bit more stuff ;)

The card I have here I am entering into 3 challenges:

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC33 Create a clean and simple project using Kraft and Twine

Simon Says Stamp:  Anything goes!

Wee Memories:  WMC80 Anything Goes!

So here's my card...Scroll on down and I'll show you what I did!

Here is my blank Kraft canvas.

Here's my blank chipboard canvas. ;)  I painted them white (which I don't have a picture of but trust me, I painted them.)

Here is a little treat I got from my local scrapbook store.  Lime green twine by My Mind's Eye.  Fun!

So after my chipboard letters dried, I wrapped the twine around them.  I used a little glue on the front and taped the back with the winding piece.  Here is the dot of the eye.  I used a clothes pin to help the glue dry.

Here is the back of the h.

Here's the front.

I adhered the letter with Glossy Accents to the Kraft card.  Then using a fine black pen I doodled a frame around the edges.

I have Martha Stewart twine-which I like-but I found the twine from My Mind's Eye to be a little thicker.  So I thought that was cool and I would tell you in case you are shopping around for twine.  :)

Until next time my friends...enjoy the last days of December...and 2011!

Hello Friend Card

Hello Everybody!

Merry Christmas!  It's hard to believe it's almost over!  And then on to the New Year!  Well I have gotten lots of new scrappy things, and I am soooooo excited about sharing them with you!

This card I am entering into 2 challenges.  The first is Simon Says Stamp: Bingo Challenge.

The second challenge is at Wee Memories: WMC80 Anything Goes Challenge.

The first exciting thing I got was a Copic Air-Brushing Starter Kit.  WOW!  Does it take it up a notch!  So cool.  So I played with it today.  Then I looked at the Simon Says Stamp blog, and they are doing a challenge where one of the options is make your own paper.  Sweet!

So I went down with gems, no designer paper, and flowers.

Here's my card...Scroll down, and I'll show you what I did!

So here are my air-brushed papers.  I cut one to put on my card.

I added these flowers which are from Creative Impressions--Blossoms and Leaves.  These gems are some that I bought in the general craft part of the craft store.

On acetate I stamped "hello friend" with Staz On ink.  This stamp came in my stocking ;)  Then I put Making Memories square gems on each corner.  Underneath that is half of a small Zot.  All four gems have a 1/2 Zot underneath it so it will adhere to the card.

And here is my card.  If you look at the background, the green looks like stems for the flowers.  That was accidental--the best kind!  :)  Until next time my friends--keep crafting!

Cricut Christmas Tags

Hello Everybody!

Wow!  It is almost Christmas.  I keep telling my husband that we have a couple of weeks and he's like no we don't!  And he's so right!  I lost a few days!  LOL!

The tags that I made are for 2 challenges.

Cardz TV:  Challenge #98 Christmas--Tag You're It!

Wee Memories: WMC77 Holiday!

Here are my tags...Scroll down, and I'll tell you about them!

The reindeer tag was cut from a scrap of paper I had.  It's a 3.5 inch tag from the George cartridge.  The reindeer and snowflake are from the Going Places cartridge.  I don't have a lot of holiday cartridges so when I realized there was a snowflake on this cartridge I was so excited!  Then a deer, which I will call reindeer, is also on the cartridge!  Yay!  I just bought the stamp.  It's from Recollections from Michaels.  Oh, and I outlined the reindeer and tag with my Black 100 Copic Marker.  It gets into those small spaces way better than an ink pad!

Here is the second tag.  The tag itself is from George.  Same size as the first one.  The ornament is from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge,  I used the base layer and the layer with the flourish.

I used Prawn R24 Copic Marker to color the bow on the ornament.  I also used it to outline the tag.  The tag was originally a white color, but I thought it looked plain.  So I stamped the To and From and then used a red Smooch Spritz on the tag.  Now it is perfect!

Here are the two tags again.  Now to get some gifts wrapped :)  Until next time my friends....time is running out...HURRY!!
