Sweet Baby Frame

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited about this cute project!  I am putting it in 2 challenges.  There's still time so stop by and play!

Lessology #8 Frame of Life: Decorate an old frame or make one out of cardboard...also need an upcycled item.  I used a piece of cardboard.

Wee Memories WMC81--New: New product, new technique, new theme.  I got some new embellishments and this is the first time I made a picture frame out of a piece of cardboard.

Here my frame!  Look at that little handsome on there!  Scroll on down, and I'll show you what I did!

My son got these blocks for Christmas.  When we dumped them out there was a round cardboard piece on the bottom.  Cha Ching!  Quickly,  I stowed this in my scrapbook room.

So I used my Cropadile and made 2 holes for the ribbon that would hold my frame.

I wanted lace.  I go where my creativity takes me, but I wanted to use lace.  So I stapled it on.  The scribbles on the cardboard are saying that the circle is a little over 7 inches.

I traced a piece of white card stock to go over the stapled lace and cardboard.

This is Doodlebugs paper.  I knew I wanted to make a circle from it and use it.

Does anybody have one of these?  Do you use it?  I don't use it often enough.  But today it was a must have.  I made my circle from the paper above :)

New embellies!  I just got them from Marshalls.  Yes that's right.  They were only $2.99.  It's a limited selection but check it out!  Who doesn't need more sequins and gems?

My awesome hubby got me this for Christmas!  I love that I already have a use for 1 of them!

Now the chipboard letters I got from a Tim Holtz class at CKU a few years ago.  I think they are Advantus or Heidi Swapp.  No matter the brand though, sticky chipboard letters do not stay sticky.  Even in a scrapbook they seem to move around.  So since I knew this would be on my wall, I ran them through the Xron machine.  Love my Xron!

Here's a close-up of the gems.  Different shapes and shades of that teal color.  I used Zots and put them along the pattern paper.  Some of the bigger gems are from Kaiser.

Here's a close-up of the Tim Holtz key.

Here's a close-up of the chipboard letters.  That little flower in the middle is from Prima.

Here's my frame hanging on the wall.  I think I want to paint my walls yellow though after seeing my project in front of that yellow paper!

Look how great it looks against the yellow!   Until next time my friends...use some gems! Or rhinestones like I like to call them! ;)
