A Bright Hi!

Hello Everybody!

I learned the COOLEST trick to do with my alcohol inks.  And I am so psyched about it.  It is on Tim Holtz's site, and you can go here to see the instructions.  I need to check out more of these tags.  He does an awesome job of creating and teaching them.

So the card I made is for the challenge at Studio L3 who supplied the challenge of using this plaid technique.  The sponsor for this week is Simon Says Stamp.  They are offering a $25 shopping spree.  They have AWESOME stuff!  Some of my Christmas came from there-yay!

Also, I am submitting this card to Simon Says Stamp and Show because Anything Goes!  There is still time to play both challenges so check 'em out!

So here is my card....

This is a 2nd picture of my card because I thought it might need a 2nd shot.  The background is alcohol inks.  I think it really is soooo cool.  The bar code tape is Prima, and the hi is from American Crafts.  I made the background but I didn't want to cover it up.  The tape helps to ground the sentiment (or to me anyways!) :)

Here are the colors I used.  I know Tim says to use Ranger's glossy paper, but I don't have any.  So I used photo paper.  But it worked fine.  (Yay!)

Here are my dots lined up (so easy!!)

Here were my colors the first direction.  I could have left the background like this.  There will be some stripey things to come about!

But I did the 2nd set of stripes and got this.  In person it looks like it could even be 3-D.  So cool.  Try it and upload your creation!  Until next time my friends...have a bright and cheery tomorrow!
