You're 4!

Hello Everybody!

I got my gelli plate out tonight and had a wonderful time making backgrounds!  For this card I used a blue paint and a texture thing from Martha Stewart.  We were at Home Depot last night in the paint section and Martha Stewart had a paint combing set for $6!  There were 3 different sized combs and one of the combs had two sides so that's like 4!  I used the biggest one on this monoprint.

Then for the square I used bubble wrap and edged scissors to cut out the square.  I put Tim Holtz Silver distress paint around the edges.  The circle is from a different monoprint.  The tissue tapes and letters are also Tim Holtz.

I am entering the following challenges:  Unscripted Sketches #206 4th Blogiversary

And Simon Says Stamp and Show: Make your own background.  They always give away a $50 voucher to Simon Says Stamp- so awesome! :)

Thank you for stopping by!  I am giving this card to a little guy that turns 4 tomorrow!  He likes art so I hope he likes this card!

Until next time my friends-Let's have some cake and ice cream! There are celebrations everywhere! :)

Easter Card

Hello Everybody!

I am working on my Easter cards and I used the sketch at Unscripted Sketches for this one.  Here is this week's sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch.  I used a digi stamp from Bugaboo and colored her with Copic markers.  I embossed the purple panel with dots.  I couldn't find the pink twine so I used pink floss that changes from light pink to dark pink.  It still turned out nice :)  The tag is from an Easter set by Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Thanks for stopping by!  I have another post and maybe there will be another one-LOL :)

For Fun-Something New!

Hello Everybody!

It's time for a new challenge at For Fun Challenges!  Since it's a New Year this week's theme is something new-like a new baby, new house, new scrapbook supplies!  I got a lot of fun goodies for Christmas, and I can't wait to use them all!

Make sure to go by For Fun to see what Helen and Kathy created!

So the telephone stamp (Recollections), the sentiment (Technique Tuesday stamp) and the technique used on the flowers are all new.

I am linking up to Unscripted Sketches #191.  Here is this week's sketch:

Here is a close up of my flowers.  They are those little fabric flowers that people seem to buy for wedding things.  My husband bought me a melting pot for Christmas.  I used the Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) and dipped the flowers in it.  I saw Tim Holtz do it on one of his videos and thought it was one of the coolest things ever.  I still do-LOL!  Not bad for my 1st 3 flowers.  There will be more!

Thank you for stopping by!  Leave me a comment so I know you were here and I will come by and say hello!  Until next time my friends...Happy New Year! :)

Wishful

Hello Everybody!

Today I am sharing a Christmas card I made for the following challenges.  Each challenge inspired an element on this card.

Simon Says Stamp and Show: Stamping Without Ink-I used silver embossing powder on the snowflake stamp

Unscripted Sketches: Sketch 185

CAS-ual Fridays-Winter project featuring blue-CFC79

Here's my card.  I just bought some Martha Stewart snowflake stamps.  This is one of them (yay! I am already using them!)  I embossed it with silver embossing powder.  The white square behind it is where I took the Versamark pad and made the square and then used white embossing powder behind it.  Wishful is from the Tim Holtz word stickers.

Here's a closeup.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! :)

O Christmas Trees!

Hello Everybody!

I decided to switch gears and make a Christmas card using a sketch.  Here are the challenges:

Unscripted Sketches #180

Here's my card.  The green Christmas trees are from The Alley Way.  They are on their freebies page which is here.

I'm not going to lie, I wanted to use red.  But I held back!  The card is cream and the paper with the writing is cream tissue paper with the printed writing.  I used a swirly Christmas tree from Stampendous to make the backgrounds for the green Christmas trees.  I embossed with gold embossing powder.  I used copics for the Christmas trees and a metallic gold marker.  I border punched a piece of brown Bazzill paper and tied a ribbon.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...I am still working on Halloween!  :)

My Mojo has Returned!

Hello Everybody!

Finally!  I have made a card!  It feels like forever.  Hopefully the creativity will start to flow like a river!

I had help from these 2 challenges-there's still time to play so go check them out!  The colors are from Make My Monday and the sketch is from Unscripted Sketches.  Thank you for the help! :)

Here is my card.  What's funny is I was trying to make an anniversary card.  Once I had my paper and flowers I realized that this was way to girly for an anniversary card!  You gotta go where creativity takes you! ;)

Paper is probably some old DCWV (they were scraps I had).  The pink polka dots however are My Mind's Eye.  The flowers are flowers from way back when they used to sell them in those little jars.  The centers are light green from Kaiser.  The sentiment is from TPC Studio stamps with white embossing powder.

Here's a closeup of my butterfly. I used a Martha Stewart punch on yellow cardstock and red line sheet (which I am very happy that that actually worked!)  I used Evening Glow glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle and Tim Holtz Stickles Pink for the center.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a glittery day! :)
