Hello Everybody!
It's the first Tuesday again and that means it's time for a new technique at Technique Time Tuesday. This month's technique is about making a Dahlia flower and using it on your project. Mynnette has created a great video on how to construct the flower.
I made a card using the flower-but I mad a 5x6.5 size cards. I made my flower petals with a 2.5 inch punch. I really like how it turned out. I had made different petals and was playing around with this old paper that was from Deluxe Designs. It's the purple paper and it has words on it beginning with the word Q but you would never know that looking at this flower. The other side is white so I colored it with Scattered Straw Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
The script paper has also been in my stash for a long while but it just seemed to go. The "leaves" are from a Tim Holtz mover and shaker die and I colored it with some Distress Paint. And the center is a button I bought at a garage sale not too long ago.
I hope that you use this Dahlia Folding Technique and link up to our challenge! Until next time my friends...see you soon! :)

Very nice! That flower is really cool! Looks like you nailed the technique. I have not seen this challenge yet, but your card makes me want to try my hand at Dahlia flowers.
