Got this song stuck in my head...Hello!

Hey Everybody!

The song Hello from the True Star (I think) helped to inspire the sentiment of my card below.  "I just came to say Hello" but I just used the hello ;)  Now I have it playing on Spotify (which is a GREAT app on Facebook).  So go enjoy the party!

I am so excited to be participating in The Playdate Cafe's challenge of black and white with a splash of hot pink.  I love these challenges!  You can play PDCC119 here.

The flower is from Making Memories.  Letters are from DCWV and the pink grosgrain ribbon is from a ribbon swap.

Blog Hop Cards

Hello Everybody!

Here are some of the cards that I have been working on that are finished and ready to be shared with the world!  :)  These are for the Let's Scrap blog hop.  All of the sketches were created by Debby de Wilde.  I put the location of the sketch so if you want to play along--you can!  The how to's are at the top! :)

The first sketch is from Leap 3 at Scrappin Expect the Unexpected.

Here is my interpretation.  Some of the paper is from K&Company.  The paper with the circles cut out is a burlap looking paper that I inked.  I don't know where it came from.  The letters are from Making Memories.

The next sketch I used in the hop is from Leap 22 at Shazlee Scrap...

Here's my card.  One ready to go for Easter!  The stamps are from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

 This sketch is from Leap 13 at Spiegel Mom...

Here is my card....The papers are from My Mind's Eye.  I got them free from my Paper and Crafting Magazine. :)  The ribbon I think I received in a swap and loved it for this card.  The sentiment is a sticker that I think was a free gift from Creating Keepsakes.  Yay for free stuff! ;)

Last but not least is this sketch from Leap 8 at Keely's blog...

Here's my card.  I stapled the lace on with Tim Holtz's mini fastener.  The letters are from Making Memories.  The key is a sticker from Kelly P. (I can't remember her last name and I'm too lazy at the moment to find it) ;)  The pink paper is from K&Company and the other 3...2 might be from Autumn leaves but they are from my big o' scrap pile and I honestly, don't know from which company.

I hope you like these!  I have 2 more that need photographs and 40 more that need to be made.  LOL!  Well, I want you to know that I said I was going to do all of the cards in the hop.  I realize my pace and that time is fleeting...so whichever cards don't make it to the actual blog hop, I will still do anyway and post them.  Until next time my friends...let me know which one is your favorite! :)  And good night!

Thinking of You Blog Hop Leap #39

Hello Everybody,

I know I may seem to have been quiet this week...but I have been working on cards!  Right now I have 1 to show you because I wanted to make sure that I had a post for Friday, but know that a mega post is on the way!! ;)

The card I made is for the blog hop.  As far as my stats...I've lost count only because I know I have cards waiting in the wings so once I get them written up, I will let you know where I stand.  I do know that I have 11 more folks to visit on the blog hop, and I will see you soon!!

So without further ado...here is the sketch for Dawn at Scrap My World Leap # 39.

Here is my interpretation of it...

The paper came in a pack with different designs, like circles and flowers.  I don't know who the paper is from though and I have had it for a very long time.  So if you recognize it, leave me a comment and I can update this little passage right here :)  I think it came out good as far as graphic-ness goes.

Tidbit Tuesday-Glitter Glitter Everywhere!

Hello Everybody,

Happy Valentine's Day!  Yay!! :)  Hope you get lots of hugs and candy today!  :)

Maybe the kids are playing with glitter or you are (LOL I hopefully am!) and there is a mess being made.  Now you may be familiar with what I am about to tell you...but if not here we go!

I learned this trick from my friends at Sparkle N Sprinkle during a Scrapbook Expo show last year.

Coffee filters!  Separate one out.

Here I have my stamp (from Little Yellow Bicycle), VersaMark, and embossing powder.

On a tan piece of cardstock there is my awesome....

I poured the embossing powder onto my stamped image while over the coffee filter.

Fold the filter like a taco.

And pour it back into the jar.  It is better to do this with two hands, and I spilt some because I had one hand on the camera :)  Now with the kids I would still put newspaper or whatever underneath.  I actual have an oven mat and then my Tim Holtz craft mat on top.  I can never be too safe ;)

Let's Scrap Blog Hop Cards

Hello Everybody!

When the Let's Scrap Blog Hop first started my blog pal Kay Wallace said to get out those scraps because there are 50 hostesses in the Blog Hop.  Now my collection of scraps is a bit daunting.

Yes this box is full, along with a small drawer and 2 12X12 accordian folders that are also full.  But Kay is right...it is time to get this paper back into the light and start using it up!

So my first card is from the 4th stop on the hop:

Here's my card...

I put 2 flowers together and there is a button in the center. I embossed the red paper with a folder from Cuttlebug.  The sentiment is heat embossed.  The paper is from a Creating Keepsakes All in One Scrapbooking Kit from many moons ago.  All scraps!  All in that box!

So what I started to do to get a better handle on my scraps is that while I am waiting for a page to load, I have my scraps next to me and I kind of go through them and put together like papers.  So I create a mini "kit" and when I got to craft most of the papers are picked out for the card.

My second card is from stop #32 (or LEAP32).  Here is the sketch....

And here is my interpretation of the sketch.  Same papers except the green is Bazzill cardstock and the yellow may be from another company as well.  The gems are Kaiser and the flowers are from Prima.  I have 1 left!  Yay!  I just need to find it a home ;)  And the hello is cut from my Slice machine-Happy Trails.

So I am pretty excited about these cards.  There's 2 and a half weeks left and I have made 4 cards out of 50.  I'm gonna keep going.  Hopefully I will report better numbers soon ;)  I have made it over half of the way through the actual Blog Hop.  I have 14 more spots to go--so if I haven't seen you yet, I will!

What's funny is I posted these cards in reverse order.  The 2nd card I did first.  I used scraps for the hellow card, then tried to use up the scraps from those scraps by making the thank you card.  But now I just have smaller scraps.  LOL!  So you may see this color scheme again...don't be surprised ;)

Get Out Your Green Hats!

Hello Everybody!

Since I have mailed out my Valentine's, it's time to put away the red and get out the green.  Saint Patrick's Day will be here in no time, so I have to get started on making those cards!

So the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches was an awesome sketch to get me in the Saint Patty's Day spirit!  This sketch is from Lesley #21 Seeing Double....

I used the sketch in a horizontal way.  The pot is a G Studio stamp that I heat embossed and colored with a Copic Marker and a Krylon Gold Leaf Marker.  The Krylon marker is awesome!  I used the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge for the hat.  It's a pilgrim's hat...but now it a leprechaun's hat!  I used green stickles to outline it.  The ribbon is from Anna Griffin.  I don't know where the background paper came from, but the shamrocks are from a piece of Reminisce.

Eeee Choooo!

Hello Everybody!

Did someone sneeze?  I am so excited to share this card with y'all!  I am entering it into:

Around the House Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  

The challenge is to "incorporate an element that was created from a "tool" that you have around your house in an innovative way."

So this is how I interpreted this challenge...here's my card....I used a tissue box as a tool to convey my message.  :)

This card is a little bigger than I normally use.  It is 5 inches by 6.5 inches.  I started out with an empty Puffs tissue box (trying to overcome the urge to say Kleenex!)

I cut the logo from one side  of it.

I took a piece of tissue and cut it in half.

I took the top half of one side of the box.  This is my tissue box on the card.  It was the perfect size, so I didn't have to trim anything away--well except to cut it from the box :)

On my Cricut I cut out a bug from the Boys will be Boys cartridge.  I put different colored wings on and added googly eyes to this little fellow.  Then I got out the Crystal stickles!

There's my finished bug.  How cute is he?  I used a pop dot to simulate flying. :)
