Red and Yellow Layout

Hello Everybody!

Tonight I was inspired by a sketch and washi tape.  I will be honest-I looked all through my washi tape and found two red designs.  I put the washi on the cardstock and then I went and looked for a picture.  Usually I have the picture first and build the page around it.  There was something very fun doing it a bit backwards-but I don't know if I can do that all the time!

I am working on using my stash-I have set a goal of making 30 pages before I buy anything new.  (I know!  But I am trying to stay strong!) lol!  This make page 7.

I would like to submit this to the following challenges:

Some Product Details:  I used Golden's Diarylide Yellow paint to make the background dots.  Washi tape from Recollections (Michaels).  I made the gears from some of the left over mat paper.  Chipboard bits from Pebbles and the red stars are from ScrapYard 329.  The red letters and & are Hot off the Press and Yellow is Thickers.  And then there are some things I just found in my stash that worked.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...stay in color! :)

Fab layout and perfect colours for the photo. It’s great to set yourself a goal so you can use up stash, think I need to do that too. Thank you for joining us at Stick It Down x

I love your 30 page goal...I bet you can do it. And this page is so fun!!!! Red and yellow are a great combination and it certainly matches your photo perfectly. I always start with my photos too and let them drive the color choices, but good for you for mixing it up and pushing yourself creatively. Thanks for playing along with us at Stick it Down.

Whoa, what a challenge! I am so proud of you! and duh, how clever to use washi tape! Do you know how hard it was for me to figure out how to get such "long" strips of paper to go across a page? Next time I will for sure remember this idea! Lovely layout, and thanks for being an inspiration to use what we have! Cant wait to see the next 23 layouts! ~Melissakay SID DT
