Hello Everybody!
Today's Tidbit Tuesday is about going outside the square box--into a circle one!
I made this wreath for football season. We like to have a decoration on our front door and didn't have anything going from 4th of July to Halloween. Feast your eyes...
So as I was getting the photos ready for this post, I realized that it fits the challenge over at The Game: Round. Yippee! I'm excited. There's still plenty of time, so when you're done here go check out the challenge. :)
I am also linking this to the Anything Goes Challenge at Unique Crafters Challenge. There is still plenty of time to play at this challenge too! :)
So here are some of the details on my wreath.
This is a smooth wreath that I bought from Michael's. I covered it in Gesso and then painted it with a glossy black acrylic paint.
I used my Making Memories Slice Machine to make the letters. Then I ran each letter through my Xron machine (the 5 inch one) using the laminate/permanent adhesive cartridge. I put toothpicks on the bottoms of the letters and used Scotch tape to make sure the stayed on the letters. Then I pushed them through the styrofoam wreath.
The football is from Party City. I used 2 strands of embroidery floss to go through the football to attach it to the wreath. Also, I used embroidery floss to hang the wreath.
Here's another close up. I don't make a lot of wreaths so I am pretty excited about this one. My husband likes it too!
Until next time my friends...get out the chips and dip-It's football season!
