Day 4 of Tim's Creative Chemistry Class

Hello Everybody!

So I have finished my day 4 techniques.  There is just so much cool stuff and infinite possibilities.  :)

So let's have a look...

This first one is a monoprint.  These are all Stampers Anonymous stamps except for the gear.  That's Hampton Arts Graphic 45.  It was sitting next to the round notions stamps and I thought-why not?  There's gotta be a gear in a sewing machine right? ;)

Faux Patina...Love love love :)  The first is a compass coin (Tim).  The other 3 are from Momenta Metal.

This is Tinted Tinsel.  I painted and stained the tag.  And I think that's a Hampton Arts Hot Air Balloon stamp that I used.

This is Ombre.  Wow!  If you ask me.  I realized through this process that my stamping collage skills need some (ok maybe a lot) of fine tuning.  But there is some kind of coolness factor to this.  I think it might be the lady (graphic 45).  Like the guy there (one of my favorite Stampers Anonymous) is thinking about there time in beautiful Paris.  :)

This is the Faded Layers technique.  I took a picture before I stamped it because I wasn't sure what I was going to stamp.  Pretty cool, huh?

Turns out that I didn't cover too much up.  Love this guy too! :)

Thank you for stopping by!  And if you leave a comment that makes me super happy! :)  Until next time my friends...stay inky! :)

Day 3 Tim's Creative Chemistry Class

Hello Everybody!

Well I thought I was going to go in order-but I can't.  I couldn't wait to play with some alcohol inks!  I had to dust them off a little bit-but no fear they were ready to go.

So I was able to make 3 of the 6 techniques.  I'm waiting on a box of goodies to show up at more door so I can make the other 3.  Everyday I check the front door and mail box...must be patient. :)

So scroll on down to see the closeups!

Here is smudged stamping.  The hot air balloon may be from Graphic 34.  And the birds-well they didn't come out quite right but that's ok-sometimes that happens :)

Brayered Stains-This was a second take.  The first is on the other side-LOL.  I will be honest-I don't like the color of stains I have.  Like I need more to make better groupings.  My paints are good because I started off getting some Tim had recommended for a Tag of the Month.  I need a starter stain set :)

Here's my photo.  I thought I used a mid to higher grade photo paper...but I guess not because I was able to color really good on this.  LOL!  I had to improvise too on the second to last step.  I just added something to my list :)  Christmas is just around the corner!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...it's bedtime :)

Day 1 Part 2 of Tim's Creative Chemistry Class

Hello Everybody!

I guess some things never change.  I'm talking about procrastination.  LOL!  I procrastinated in college and I seem to be doing the same thing now in a fun creative techniques class-seriously!  What's wrong with me!

Ok so I finished the other 4 techniques from Day 1.  (Today was Day 5-eek!)

So let me show you what I made.  I can't tell you how-you'll just have to take the class.  And it's totally worth it!

So here are the following techniques: Eroded Metallic, Industrial, Colored Crackle, and Altered Surface.  As you scroll down there are close-ups.

Here is Industrial.  Totally cool steampunkish feel...

Here is eroded metallic--this may be one of my most favorites of all time.  I had to make another sample of it and cut out gears.  Love how this came out! :)

These are my Colored Crackle.

Here is my butterfly finished with water droplets.

Now my spider went through a few coats before I was happy with the crackle contrast.  :)

Love this altered surface.  (Love all of these new techniques really!)

Ok-I'm off to work on Day 2.  :)

Practice Tags

Hello Everybody!

I can't believe it's been like a week since I last posted.  It's been busy!  My birthday was last week so my husband planned lots of fun stuff for my birthday week :)  I'll share more about that later :)

Today starts Creative Chemistry 102 with Tim Holtz.  Day 1 is awesome!

Here are 2 tags I made using the marble and resist techniques.  This is what I needed to get my mojo going! :)

This marble rocks!  And then I did a little water flicking.

Here's my resist.  I flicked water on it also.  And somehow I did too much flicking on the mannequin.  But other than that this tag came out great.  You can see the writing from the notions labels.

Super excited about the other lessons....so I better go!  Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...what's your favorite technique so far? :)
