Hello Everybody!
I am so happy that I got this layout done! It's for the sketch challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. I love their sketches!
The paper is Heidi Swapp (it said copyright 2008 which means I have had it a little longer than I thought! Good thing there isn't an expiration date!). I used some gold leafing around the edges of the main paper and the mat around the picture. I also used some walnut distress ink and roughed up the edges of the mat.
Supplies:
Letters: Rubons-Kaiser, Stickers-Scenic Route
Clear Earth-Tattered Angels
Crabs, Shells and Fish-K&Company
Black Swirlies-Colorbok
Skull and Crossbones-The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
I think that's everything. I seem to leave off one or two things so if you have any questions, please ask!
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time my friends...Arrrr! ;)

Grandparents Page
Hello Everybody!
I did it! This is my 2nd post of the night, and I am so excited! I am here a 2nd time because I finished my page for one of the challenges going on at Another Freakin' Scrappy Challenge-Grandparents or generations. There's still time to play!
My sister helped me to get a couple of the pictures. She even apologized for how they scanned over and offered to help fix them in Photoshop. But I said no. The colors and "textures" of the photos are genuine to the time period. These look better than some I had taken with a 110 that's for sure! LOL!
Ok so here is my Nana and Papa page. These are my grandparents on my mom's side. The 2 pictures on the right were taken in the 1970s I think and the Polaroid was taken April 22, 1984. And that's my handwriting when I was a kid!
Here is a close up of my Nana. I decided not to crop the photos so that a sense of time could be felt. Wood paneling and maybe even that mirror are of things of a different era. I wanted to appreciate that too.
Supplies:
Papers: Anna Griffin (butterfly transparency), 7 Gypsies, Recollections (cardstock)
Letters: Girls Paperie
Rub-on-Art Warehouse
Paper Key: DiBona Designs
Paper Buttons: K&Company, DCWV
"Silk" flowers dipped in UTEE
Font: my chicken scratch handwriting ;)
Thank you for stopping by and walking down Memory Lane with me! Until next time my friends...write down some family stories! :)

Here's a close up so you can read the journaling. That's my daddy with Papa :)
Here's a picture I need to find out more about! I don't know who took this picture. The journaling says: If you start with my Nana and go clockwise: Papa, Aunt Nita, Cousin Shireen, Cousin, Cousin Richard (I think), Aunt Kathy, and a baby I'm not sure who the baby is but I don't think it's me. I think it might be my cousin Katina but I don't know. If I worked for CSI I could read the calendar but my skills are limited. LOL! ;)
Oh and these glass flowers...no they just look like glass! My wonderful hubby got me a Ranger Melting Pot for Christmas! I saw Tim Holtz dip these little Prima flowers into the UTEE and the were like instant glass flowers so that's one of the first things I did last night when I was playing with it! These are those little silk flowers that I pulled off of the stem. I thought they went well here.

Red, Red, Red
Hello Everybody!
I made a card for a challenge that ends in a few hours over at The Game-Challenge #16. I don't like cutting it so close, yet that is how it goes! The challenge at The Game is to create something for winter showcasing the color red.
**This card made runner up at the Game :)
Over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge-Anything Goes! They are offering a $50 gift certificate to their store (which is awesome! Some of my Christmas came from there, but I'll show you that later!)
I am also going to link this up to Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #52 Anything Goes! There's still time to play so come on over! They are giving away a stamp set from Cardz TV (with USA address). Thanks Michelle for letting me know! :)
Here's my card! Red cardstock (Wassau), and then the punched border was a gift from my husband for Christmas. Side note-he is so awesome-he combs the isles for craft stores looking for cool stuff for little o' me! You rock!
Ok back on track-the square is new too! It's Spellbinders one of my newest addictions. The sentiment is from a new stamp set my mom-in-law bought me for Christmas. It's from Inkadinkado.
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time my friends...I may be back with a second post. If so see ya soon! :)

A Little Sunshine
Hello Everybody!
I hope you had a super terrific Holiday! I did! It was great spending it with family and eating delicious food! I got some pretty cool gifts too. And you know they are scrappy goodies! So I will be sharing those with you guys over the next few weeks.
Right now I want to share with you a card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenges: SNSSC14. Here's my take on the sketch.
I am also submitting this card to Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes!
I used stamp set 158 Tropical for the sun and palm tree. I stamped the sun on acetate once, then reinked and moved the flames a little to make more flames on the sun. I used Stickles orange and yellow to make the flames glittery. I used a light green Stickles for the palm tree and gold Distress Stickles for the trunk. The background paper is from Fancy Pants. The sentiment is from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blossoms set. I used Faded Jeans Distress Ink to stamp it.
Here's the sketch. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time my friends...have a happy day! :)

A Scrapbook Page
Hello Everybody!
I think some of my busy is starting to calm down! Most of the Christmas shopping is done and most of it's wrapped. Really the only gift is for my MIL if I need one. You know how you go back and forth trying to figure out if you got the right amount of gifts. Well, one thing my mom-in-law and I do is swap scrapbook pages. For both of us they go in a special album with pages just from the other person (or people and her sister has made pages and my sister has made me a couple of pages).
So tonight I finished this page. I am submitting it to Scrap It Girl's Challenge: Tick Tock I Used a Clock challenge.
I used a pocket watch brad for my clock next to the date. :) Here's a close up of the journaling as well.
Supplies I used:
Paper: KI Memories, Recollections
Ribbon: Snowman from Michaels
Ornament trim: Recollections
Title: Letter brads from Joann's, Sticko stickers
Maya Road Twine
Love2Scrap Pearls
Kaiser Rub-ons
Tag-Cricut and Distress Inks
Clock Brad: Eyelet Outlet
This was a cool Christmas event that we went to. It was our first time going. Did you do something new this year for Christmas?
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time my friends...have a great weekend! (Christmas is almost here!) :)

For Fun Challenge-Religious Christmas Card
Hello Everybody!
This week's challenge at For Fun Challenges is Religious Christmas Cards.
I used a stamped set from Inkadinkado called O Holy Night. I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment and black embossing powder for the 3 Wise Men. I used my gold leaf marker to outline the sentiment square. Kraft paper is what the background is made from. I hope you like it! :)
There were lots of great looking houses last week! Thank you for all who join! I love looking at your projects! Until next time my friends...Merry Christmas!

You can read the details here. If you don't know Annette, make sure you become a follower. She creates wonderful, happy cards. She is super talented and a great lady.

Yummy Gingerbread House
Hello Everybody!
It's time for a new challenge at For Fun Challenges! These week we are using houses or birdhouses with a Christmas theme. I chose to use a Gingerbread House. I made a scrapbook page showing a gingerbread house we made last year.
The background paper is from Graphic 45-I think it's from the Dorothy collection. The gingerbread house is so old-I have had it in my stash FOREVER! It came on a sheet with some gingerbread people. I added some Stickles to the snow to make it sparkle.
Here is my journaling block. I used red brick distress ink and mowed lawn. But the green is in the concentrated dropper. When I went to the LSS that's all they had in that color-and when you must have it-you must have it! But it works. I use a drop and then spray water on it. It's quite vibrant.
The snowman is from K&C company. The candy is washi tape from Recollections and so is the strip of ornaments. The Christmas photos corners have also been in my stash a really long time. :)
Thank you for playing along! I can't wait to see your House projects! Until next time my friends...Home is where the Heart is! :)

Tidbit Tuesday-Customized Christmas Tags
Hello Everybody!
I was making Christmas tags when I dawned on me. As crafters we can make things that other people can't. Stay with me! I am talking about complete customization.
So I am making these tags for some friends of mine. You can see what they like...
I used a Mickey Mouse stamp and colored him with Copic Markers. If you had a sticker you could just as easily put that on the tag and put a little Santa Claus hat on him. These Santa Hats are from Jolee's. From the same MM stamp set what the little Mickey Mouse head. The R2D2 (Star Wars) was a sticker I had.
Do you have a friend that likes dogs or birds? You can customize their tag not just for their gift and for Christmas but to take it a step further and reflect what they love. Also, you can look at your stamps or stickers a little differently. :)
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time my friends...keep "taggin'" along! :)

Christmas Tags
Hello Everybody!
I learned last year that I love making Christmas tags! They are super fun and can be as easy or intricate as you want them to be. They end up being little pieces of art under the tree! :)
So here are my tags:
I am participating in the following challenges:
CAS-ual Fridays-Clean and Simple Gift Tags CFC80
Shopping Our Stash-Winter Holiday
The stamps are from Craft Smart which are in the $1.50 bins at Michaels. On the reindeer and snowman I used Washi tape from Recollections. For the Santa tag I used KI ribbon that had adhesive already on the back. I trimmed the excess and added the silver ribbon. Now they are ready to go!
Thank you for stopping by! Until next time my friends...A little washi tape goes a long way! :)

Snowman Card
Hello Everybody!
I hope your week is going well! It's Wednesday and you know what that means-a new challenge from For Fun Challenges! This week the challenge is to use Snowmen. I LOVE snowmen! I like tall ones and little squatty ones-LOL :)
Here's my card:
I adhered a piece of Tear-ific Adhesive Sheet from Sparkle N Sprinkle to my card. This adhesive sheet (similar to red line sheets) is very very tacky. I sprinkled some glitter I had and covered it. Now it isn't tacky, which is really amazing!
The numbers are from a piece of washi tape from Recollections. This week Michael's has it Christmas embellies for 60%. How could I say now? I bought 2 other kinds. I know-outta control!
The snowman is new. I also got a pack of die cuts from K&C. They were also on sale. The sentiment is from my new Hero Arts reindeer stamp set.
Here's a close up. There is a little light reflecting off of the glitter.
Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see what snowmen ya'll have! Until next time my friends...see you soon! :)

Hello Everybody!
It's the first Tuesday of the month-my Favorite Tuesday. The Tuesday where a new challenge is posted at Technique Tuesday!
This month the technique is Faux Tiles. The instructions are here. Go by and see all of the beautiful creations that the DT have made! Lots of inspiration!
Here is my card using this technique:

Here is my card using this technique:
The Santa is from The Graphics Fairy LLC. You can find him here (and for free!).
I printed him on white card stock and applied walnut stain Distress Ink around him after I cut him out. I cut my tiles out in different shapes because I was trying to make sure I didn't cut his head in half. The red is made using a border punch from Fiskars. I used a gold pen around the edges of the card.
I am linking this card to the following challenges:
Other Materials:
Pattern Paper: Recollections
Cardstock: brown and black (embossed with dots on Cuttlebug) and red
Gold wire ribbon.
Thank you for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create using the Faux Tile Technique. Until next time my friends...Create! :)
