Mixed Media Bunny

Hello Everybody!

I am working on my Easter cards-and I am loving the prompts that the challenges are offering.  These prompts are helping my mojo! :)

So here is my mixed media bunny card.  Here are the challenges that I am submitting it to:

Digi Haven: Easter Challenge with a Twist-Use the Color Brown.  I used kraft paper for the background and walnut distress ink around the bunny square.

Moxie Fab World: Styling with Stencils Challenge in the Moxie Fab World:  I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and mustard seed distress paint for the yellow chevrons on the right side of the bunny.

Make My Monday:  Easter

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Happy Easter

Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: Anything Goes

Here are some details on my card:
I used a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous for the pink design.  I used Stampendous pink embossing powder.
The bunny is from Bugaboo Stamps.  I used copics to color him and distressed the square.  I also used walnut ink distress ink around the edges.  The flower strip is from Wasau Paper and a Martha Stewart punch.  The chevrons are from mustard seed distress paint and a Heidi Swapp chevrons stencil.  Then some random sequins.  Oh-also, I used a cream white cat eye around the edges of the kraft paper to soften them.

Here is a little big of a close-up.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends..have a good night! :)

Valentine's Fun

Hello Everybody!

I just love how this card turned out!  This is a Bugaboo Digi (I love their stick people!)  The background was done using the Shaving Cream Technique over at Technique Time Tuesday.  It was one of the first "prints" I had done and it isn't very swirly.  But for this card it is awesome because I wanted it to be a background.  That I covered with gesso and a Heidi Swapp chevron stencil.  :)  I usually use light modeling paste but I have seen folks using gesso and wanted to give it a try.

The red ink in the background and around the happy little Valentine girl is from Close to My Heart-Holiday Red.  I love this color!  It is so happy and bright.  I used a Tim Holtz applicator to put it around the square so I didn't have to worry with matching colors.  And I pop dotted the focal image.

I am submitting this to the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...more pink and red ;)

Irish Map ATC

Hello Everybody!

Ok I am back with one more ATC tonight.  I am entering it into the Digi Haven Challenge: Green.

The map is from Graphic Fairy and you can find it here.  I tore the edges around it and used walnut distress ink to age it.  Then I put it on a black ATC card.  I added a tag from DCWV with a clover rhinestone and a green ribbon.  I love this map!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...it's time to wash my green shirt ;)

A Valentine For Ewe

Hello Everybody!

Valentine's is almost here!  I have a couple of more Valentine's in the works so for now here is this one.  I used the digi's from Bugaboo Stamps.  (I got it for free a few Friday's ago!)  You can find this stamp here and the sentiment is included too.

The heart paper is from Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby and the red paper is from Bazzill.

I made 2 copies of the ewe so I could make his head and wings 3-D.  I added a little glitter to his wings too. I used Copics to color the hearts, wings and his face.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...lot's of love, hugs, and Candy! :)
