A Tisket A Tasket

I altered a basket! :)

Hello Everybody!

It's my turn over at the Unique Laser Designs Blog.  But before I show you any pictues-I must tell a quick story.

A friend of mine-whose name starts with J (so we will refer to her as J) used to make cards and scrapbooks.  She also quilts.  So recently she decided to giveaway her collection of stamps, inks, papers, etc because she was getting away from doing the paper crafting.  And she gave it all to me!  I feel very special having received J's collection.  There are so many stamps and paper.  Every project just about has something that she has given to me.  Whether it's re-inker mixed with modeling paste or a pop dot to a stamp set-I have happily used it.  She wanted to make sure her stuff went to a good home.  And it did! :)

So I can't not do something special for her.  I am a bit embarrased that a. I can't spell that word, but more importantly b. that it took me so long to make her something.  But creativity cannot be rushed!

So here is the basket that I bought at a thrift store:

It was even stamped on the inside!

Here is a lock and key that I used from ULD.

And here is a J with butterflies.  I used Melissa Frances vintage glass glitter for the J.

To see the basket completely finished-be sure to go to the Unique Laser Design's Blog.  :)  Thank you for stopping by! :)

I love the basket! I love the super glittery "J" and the lock and key, which has special meaning to me as well. Each card is so detailed and beautiful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I just know all my toys went to a home where they are loved and taken care of, which is so much better than the neglect they were getting at my home. I know they feel cherish with you. haha

Oh and another thing, I love that the basket is upcycled!! I love that kind of thing. That makes it even more special, not that it could get any more special, but you know what I mean.
