Christmas Ornament

Hello Everybody!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  My family and I sure did!

I wanted to show you a Christmas ornament I made from someone that my husband works with.  He requested it which always makes my heart happy! :)

There are many pictures just to let you know.  Since it is round I wanted to make sure I captured all sides.

I am submitting this ornament to the December Challenge at Scrap It Girl-Christmas Ornaments.

This ornament is inspired by a pumpkin I made back in October.  You can read more about that here.

I took a really cool mini book class taught by Annette Green from Graphic 45.  Our book used Graphic 45's Twelve Days of Christmas.  So I was totally inspired by the papers and this shape the construction of the base for this ornament was from Graphic 45 so it just all came together.  If you go by and check out the link I put for Annette scroll down and you'll see me!  And my mom-in-law and aunt-in-law.  :)

So here is the top of the ornament.  I added a bell and jump rings.  The ribbon to hold the ornament goes in from each side and is knotted on the inside.

Here are some banners that I used brads on so that would give if needed.

Here is a pretty bird on the side.  You will also see two sets of hearts on either side.  They are like plastic hearts on a string.

I made this tassel with embroidery floss.  This is my first tassel so if you too would like to make one go here.  That's where I learned. :)

Here is another photo of the top.  I had to use hot glue to keep those little wedding flowers from coming off.  However, before I glued them I used Walnut Distress Ink to age them a little bit.

Here's another banner picture.

A different side view.  The chipboard pieces were fun to work with.  The bird on the right has a little chipboard piece on the bottom.  I used jump rings to put it on.  I saw some tags by Annette (mentioned above) and thought that was a cool idea.  So I incorporated it here.

One last picture.  :)

Thank you for stopping by!  Can you believe these are the last days of 2013?  Time to go make some new year goals!

Until next time my friends....keep craftin'! :)
