Tinsel Glitter!

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited to show you this card!  A few months ago I won some glitter tinsel from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Glitter tinsel is longer piece of glitter.  I used some of the glitter tinsel in my Fourth of July cards but I have been afraid to use it since.  Why?  I don't know.

So my fear ends today!  :)  So here's my card.  It's for the sketch challenge at Sparkle N Sprinkle-SNSSC10.  I am also submitting it to the Unique Crafters Challenge #6-Sparkle and Shine.  There's still a little time to place both so check them out!

Scroll on down, and I'll show you some details!

Here's the sketch.  I rotated it.

Here is the close up.  The pink background is from Core'dination.  I embossed it with my Cuttlebug and the pink plate pictured below.

The notes on the white cardstock are embossed with silver embossing powder.

Does anyone still have their Fiskars texture plates?  I ran it through the Cuttlebug and it wasn't as embossed as if I had an actual embossing folder (or by hand) but enough that I used a sandpaper block to try to get some of the embossed images to appear.  It's one of those things that look better in person.  Plus you might think that it's the way the paper is made, which is cool.

I thought I was going to use the honeycomb plate too, but you know how creativity changes things.

I used 1/2 inch red line tape and lined the edges of my card.

Then I applied my silver glitter tinsel.  So fun!  It has different colors when the light hits it.  Then I adhered my pink paper in the middle of the glitter frame.

Here's a close-up of the glitter tinsel.  Until next time my friends-make it sparkle! :)

Here's a list of supplies:
