Favorites are Back!

Hello Everybody!

Awhile ago at Scrap It Girl we would share our Favorites with you.  Favorite inks, pens, stamps, etc.  And then it sorta went away---BUT it's BACK!  :)  Yay!  I love sharing with you my favorite things and love seeing what the team and you share.

So we are sharing our favorite stencils.  I have bought many new stencils since the time we talked favorites in this category. :)

So here is my newest favorite.  It's from Prima and it is so pretty.  I love to use it behind photos.  Let me show you!

Here is a Valetine's Day card that I made using this stencil.  So elegant!

And here it is behind the photo.  Love!

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to check out Scrap It Girl to see the team's favorites!  And share yours!

Until next time my friends...have a beautiful day! :)

Fun Layout

Hello Everybody!

Today is the Team Reveal at Stick It Down--and if you haven't seen this month's sketch-you will love it!

Here is my take on it:

The papers and stickers are from a company called 3 Bugs in a Rug.  I have die cuts and stickers from this collection and I wanted to use them.  :)  The letters are the only thing from a different company oh and the washi tape around the picture.

Here the top right hand side.

Here is the sketch.  I hope that you found it as inspiring as I did!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends....keep having Fun! :)

Black, White, and Bright Pink Layout

Hello Everybody!

Happy April 1st!  I can't believe we are in the 4th month of 2015 already!  But what is fun about a new month?  New challenges!  Woo!  Hoo!  And the challenge at Scrap It Girl is to do a project using black, white, and one other color.

My 3rd color was hot pink or bright pink.  I had a lot of fun making this layout using a picture of my favorite little niece. :)

I used picked raspberry distress paint for the Tim Holtz tissue paper.  I had put in on my mat and spritzed water.  I pulled the black cardstock background paper through what little was left and those are the faint spots here and there.  They are still pink.  I was pleasantly surprised!

I used Viva's Ferro graphite for the black paste areas.  I used light modeling paste for the white hearts (heidi swapp stencil).  I found this white tulle in my stash and how lucky it was white!  The corners and pink hearts are from Thickers (and the true color inspiration for this layout).  Then I had to use pink rhinestones.  :)

Be sure and stop by Scrap It Girl and see what my teammates create.  So much beauty and inspiration!

Until next time my friends...Live in Color! :)

House of Cards April Challenge

Hello Everybody!

It is time for a new challenge at House of Cards.  This is a great color challenge...or if you want to use your own colors but add a butterfly--then come on over and link up with us!

Here is my card:

I used Tim Holtz distress paint Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire for the background.  I rolled it over a grey piece of cardstock but there are very few spots where you see the paper beneath.  I stamped a Dylusions sentiment on white cardstock.  I used squeezed lemonade distress ink on it and then cut out the strips.  The dots are stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry (I love this little stamp set!).  The butterfly is a wooden one that I had floating in my stash.  I painted it barnyard door red.

And the diamonds are from a stencil and translucent Wendy Vecchi paste.

So I hope that you will play along with this challenge.  You can do the color challenge or add a butterfly...or do both like me! :)

Until next time my friends....you are craftier than you think! ;)
