Dance Like Nobody's Watching

Hello Everybody!

I made this card for a friend of mine.  It's a birthday card-it seemed fun to be a little non-traditional.  This image is from Silhouette and it's one of my favorites right now.

I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and gold Texture Luxe from Faber-Castell.  It's a nice smooth paste.  The background paper is from DCWV and it was printed with the handwriting.  Then I used distress inks: gathered twigs, mowed lawn and dusty concord around the edges and on the words.  I also used black soot around the edges.

I used stamps for the bottom-one is Inkadinkado and the other is Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I finished it with 3 Tim Holtz rhinestone hearts.

Here is the inside.  I did more than I usually do-LOL.  The sentiment is from Hot off the Press (I think.)  And the butterfly is from Tim Holtz.  The lace is from Great Impressions.  It's funny that now that I look at it-I should have stamped the other side with the lace.  Next time! :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping today!  And I hope you too will dance and sing like nobody's watching! :)

  5. Great awesome look to your card. The die image can almost be a shadow effect of someone dancing and its showing against the wall. Or it could be a person dancing and just not color to the person. I love the different effects. I might have to look for this image. Lovely card. Hugs
